During my employment at this Smoothie King location, I personally observed multiple serious failures in leadership, training, and hygiene under General Manager William, which make him unfit for his position.
Key issues include:
Improper training: New employees are left to figure out procedures on their own. Critical tasks such as drink preparation, equipment use, and workflow are inconsistently taught or ignored. Questions are often dismissed, creating mistakes and confusion.
Health and safety violations: I personally discovered black mold in the ice machine and pink mold in the front service area, both posing serious risks to employees and customers. Dirty air vents over food prep areas could allow dust and debris to fall onto food. These are clear breaches of basic food safety standards.
Poor hygiene practices: Neither GM William nor any shift lead ever instructed me to properly wash my hands. Employees were told to simply put on gloves, ignoring standard hygiene procedures such as washing hands up to the elbows and using a paper towel to turn off faucets.
Lack of accountability and enforcement: Policies are applied inconsistently, concerns are ignored, and employees are blamed for mistakes caused by inadequate management.
These failures directly endanger employees and customers, reduce operational efficiency, and create a toxic work environment. Based on these observable facts, GM William is unfit to manage this location and should be removed immediately.

Today I went to smoothie king and OMG the lady at the window her name was Ella and let me tell you Ella had a beautiful smile so beautiful it made my whole day better and let me tell you I wasn’t having a good one but she made my day she also greeted me with great manners and made sure both of my bowls were made correctly and read back my order to me before I even left the speaker if I was the manger I give her a bonus because she’s doing a wonderful job and everyone needs to follow her lead because my last few visits wasn’t as memorable as this one beat believe I’ll be coming to visit Ella again

I ordered an açaí cocoa haze bowel with peanut butter squeeze added. The bowl I received had no strawberries on it. There were only bananas. At least they added the peanut butter squeeze. The last time I ordered, they forgot that. I was hoping it was just a one time incident but it’s starting prove otherwise.

Today, January 11th, I placed my order and when I arrived at smoothie king to pick up my order, no one answered over the intercom. When I arrived at the window, the lights were off and I could see another customer was sitting at the other window, just as confused as I was. I paid for my order via the app and wasn’t able to receive it. There was a car in the parking lot, unsure if it was an employee.

It’s now under new management and I have to say for someone who works with the public on daily basis they have made extreme changes and it shows! The appreciation and gratitude I receive from the employees is phenomenal! I’ve developed a relationship with the weekday morning crew that makes me look forward to coming every day! Their skills as Managers has transformed the culture of customer service, speed in the waiting line, recipe perfection, and uplifting morale; makes seeing their faces daily a joy to my mornings. A very special Thank you to my SK family. Note, as a frequent traveler, stopping city to city, state to state; I make it a staple of day to seek out a Smoothie King in my area, so, in saying they are the best; I literally mean the Best!
Dietary restrictions: As a gluten free establishment and serving proteins and other enhancers that are easy on the gut, even myself who struggles combating Chrohns disease and ulcerative colitis, am able to enjoy the various items on the menu designed to serve people from all walks of life.
