“Sometimes small talk can feed your soul—and your stomach. A few years ago, at my niece’s wedding, I struck up a conversation with a gentleman who mentioned he had opened a restaurant in Jacksonville, NC. Fast forward to today, I finally made it out to his place—Booby’s Kitchen—and let me tell you, the food wasn’t just good… it was shut-your-mouth-and-do-a-happy-dance good. Everything from the flavor to the portions hit the spot. You could taste the love and pride in every bite. If you’re anywhere near Jacksonville, do yourself a favor and stop by—you’ll thank me later. As for me, I’m officially stuffed and sliding straight into a well-deserved nap.“
