Service was not how it used to be compared to when they first opened up. It was slow but the one waitress seemed annoyed by our presence even being there. She rolled her eyes when I asked for ranch and didn't give us any refills. Maybe she was just having a bad day but could’ve had better service. Food was good though. ♀️

Inedible! One of many words that I could use to describe the current standing establishment that would no doubt deter u from your next visit. The B health ratings speak for itself, coupled with fully the bearded staff, and that left my stomach churning for hours. This place has seen better days, it with a heavy heart that have to say if you see the parking lot empty it's best to leave it that way.

They used to have high-quality milkshakes, now it's like McDonald's. Quality of burgers is now laking too, because the made to order factor in non-existent. Why does Steak N Shake even exist?

Tried to mushroom and swiss for the first time. Absolutely great. Eggnog milkshake seasonal but definitely good. Smiling employees

This location needs to pull it together. We went for my son's 6th birthday for a late meal and shakes. The orders were wrong. One of the kids with us had to wait until we were all finished eating before he finally got his shake after the staff was asked more than once for it. The shakes were terrible because they were really runny. We were told that is because they were down to 1 tub of ice cream. But they brought out multiple wrong shakes to us during this time so I can see why they would run out. The kitchen area needs to communicate better. Our waiter was nice and tried but I saw multiple staff in the back kind of hanging out and not working. Also, the emergency alarm system when walking out was going off. I made the staff aware and they said it happens all the time and they would go fix it. That is not okay. I hope this place can pull it together at some point because this location needs them too.

We were originally going to another restaurant, but a last minute request brought us here. And I'm happy it did. The waitress, from the time we sat down until we left, was awesome. Friendly, engaging, great with my kids and patient with my picky mother. She had it all. The menu isn't that deep, but it was brought to us in good time, accurate order and perfectly cooked. My only complaint is it was freezing inside. I know they serve milkshakes, but I don't think they need it THAT cold. I will definitely go back and hopefully the same waitress is there. Well done Steak n Shake!
I'm giving this one star, only so that I'm able to add a comment/post. We arrived at the Steak 'n Shake in Jacksonville, NC a little before 2 pm. We were seated in a timely manner. We then waited until 2:03 before anyone came to our table. The gal said she'd be with us shortly, and as she said that, she placed napkins and 2 straws on our table. We then waited until 2:09 until she returned to our table to take our order. When my order was completed, I asked for mayo on the side and was informed that they were out of mayo! My husband's sandwich was supposed to come with mayo on it, but when he ordered it (before I asked for the mayo on the side), it wasn't mentioned that they didn't have mayo... We cancelled our order and left. This is the 3rd time we've walked out of a Steak'n Shake (different locations) for different reasons (bad service,etc.) and we won't be going back to ANY location EVER!!

Went here last night. Extremely slow service. Had one car in front of me at the drive-through. By the time I ordered it was about seven minutes. By the time I paid that was about another seven minutes. And by the time I got my food it was about 20+ minutes together. This is at 630pm. It wasn’t even busy. This was the slowest drive-through I have ever been at. And this was my first time here ! Don’t think I will come back here again.

Service is extremely slow. I was the fourth car in line in the Drive-Thru. It seems like this location handles orders one at a time. It took me 30 minutes from ordering to receiving order. My order was not complicated. It included one single hamburger meal. The food was good. But, don't go there is you have only 30 minutes for lunch. If these folks moved any slower, they would be going backwards.
