The pizza Amalfi's is always hit or miss. Sometimes their pizza is spot on, other times it is nothing more than a gooey, under-cooked mess. They are too inconsistent with the quality of their food. My advice: look somewhere else if you want a pizza done right. As for me, I will not be returning.

We were hoping for a truly amazing Italian restaurant but that's not what we got. The salad was awful. It was watery and the lettuce was brown and tasted like refrigerator. The chicken parm is not 'lightly breaded'. It is infact heavily breaded and the bread crumbs tasted burnt. It was edible though. The soup didn't look homemade. It looked canned. It looked ok, except for the Campbell's chicken noodle soup noodles in it. The pizza was decent but was lacking in meat. When ordering a meat lovers pizza, you expect meat everywhere. That wasn't the case. The was very little meat. Lastly, the waitress could not have cared less. She was dry and dismissive. She was not friendly even though we were. I guess that's just her personality. So, all in all, we just moved to kernersville and this place is not it for us for italian food OR pizza.

Never had blander calzone. Canned spinach? Really? What a disappointment. Pizza was meh and undercooked.

Guess my expectations should've been lower. Sad that the pepperoni slices were thicker than the crust. When I go to a Mexican restaurant I wouldn't want an Italian cooking.... so, I wouldn't want the other either.
The best Italian restaurant around.

Well, I just went in. Sat down at a booth. After a few minutes I had a waiter show up. I asked if I could get a half order of an appetizer as I was by myself. The answer was an emphatic NO.
I saw no need to order a large order of bread I won’t eat. With a little flexibility I would have ordered about 30-40 dollars of food and drinks.
I walked out. They were very dismissive. I guess they did not need the business. I will never go back.

I don't typically leave a review but hope to help other calamari lovers. The calamari was unfortunately the worst we have ever eaten. It was chewy and flavorless, and tasted like it had freezer burn, missed the salt, and been reheated in old oil or something.. very odd and nearly inedible. Went specifically for a calamari craving and don't plan to go back. The marinara is sweeter in the eggplant parm, as well. Shrimp scampi was the best thing we tried. Prices were a bit higher than most places that offer better food. Maybe we got unlucky going in between lunch and dinner? Not sure.

The service was amazing and the atmosphere was welcoming. The food was quite bland. Our table ordered garlic knots, lasagna, and spaghetti with meatballs. The lasagna had no structure. The spaghetti was room temp with scorching hot, not very flavored meatballs and sauce. The accompanying salads were sitting in water.
