This place is an absolute gem in Kernersville. Not many people know about it but the food is always delicious. The new management is a breath of fresh air! The manager(recently found out her name is Grace) has started doing seasonal lattes which my wife loves to get when we go together. She always raves about them! I found out they have started getting their bagels from Bagel Station in Winston and they are phenomenal. The staff is always so welcoming and always gives great suggestions when we don’t know what we want. I have been telling all my friends about the new changes and hope it continues to grow as a business. Thank you for all the great improvements we will never stop coming here!

Ok I’m obsessed with their bagels every time, but I’m moved to make a review because I’ve been going here for years and been disappointed and uncomfortable with the attitude of their different workers over the years. They don’t seem to want you in their shop. They just seem annoyed you walked in, and they seem impatient you don’t know what you want right away. I have a family member who is a small business owner and they bend over backwards to impress the heck out of anyone who walks through the door. Big greeting, offering assistance with the menu, and genuinely friendly and outgoing to their customers. I don’t think it’s unreasonable that a small business shouldn’t feel icy. But food, 10/10 for what it’s worth… but I’ll be taking it out not dining in.

Usually the food is good. This time the sandwich was pathetic 8.50 for an undercooked Taylor ham, egg and cheese. What worse is they forgot the Taylor ham the first time, added the Taylor ham undercooked. Then said they remade it (which was a lie), and returned it looking like this. NOT HAPPY AT ALL

I’ve visited this location several times, as I work in Greensboro and often pass through Kernersville. The bagel selection is great, but the toasting is consistently disappointing. Even when I clearly ask for my bagel “very well toasted,” it still comes out cold and barely warmed. The customer service is equally frustrating. Not once have I been greeted with a smile or even a simple “good morning.” Every visit feels like I’m inconveniencing the staff just by being there. Honestly, it’s starting to feel less like a bagel shop and more like a trip to the DMV.
I really hope management addresses both the quality control and customer service, because the food has potential, but the experience keeps falling short.

Great Bagels at a great price with respectful staff
They served us at 1:55, never said anything about closing or sitting to eat. Served us cold coffee and then after we sat down, kicked us out after 10 mins after closing. Store manager said she had to go somewhere (could have left someone until we finished our food - 10 mins). She said she checked with her operational manager. She said her operational manager said to kick us out.

We have been to this bagel shop before today I was served a cold coffee. Went. Today close to closing I was served a cold coffee again and a bagel. Ate in then was asked to leave they were closing. I would have taken the food to go if I was told I couldn't sit in. Very bad management.

I ordered a cinnamon crunch bagel with strawberry cream cheese for takeout, a pretty simple order, in my opinion. Yet it took over 20 minutes to prepare. What made it worse was that I was the only person of color in the restaurant, and I watched as every white customer, many of whom had larger orders, were served ahead of me, repeatedly.
It didn’t look good for Kernersville Bagels, and it felt like a clear example of racial microaggressions. This place needs to get with the times, we’re not in the 1950s anymore.
As for the bagel itself, it was nothing special. Just average, and definitely not worth the long wait. Also, the strawberry cream cheese looked like it had a heavy dose of Red 40, so eat at your own risk.
If I could give this place a 0, I would. Kernersville Bagels needs to do better.
