Yet another small taqueria combined with a Mexican grocery/ meat market, in yet another small worn strip shopping center. My trip there was met with, at best, mixed results. The tacos, 2 Chorizo & 2 Campechano (4 for $8.99)were more than a little disappointing - both meats were over cooked and dry; the Campechano was a strange mixture and lacked the traditional Chicharrones and the beef, whatever cut it was, was anything but tender and flavorful. The Milanese de Pollo ($11.99) was rather nice ( though there is little in the cutlet that shouts Mexican) but if what I received was 1/2 chicken, it was indeed a very small bird. And the side of beans was all liquid, not a single bean to be found. Would not return here, especially with Tacos Casa Miguel just a bit up the road! Ambiance - 2 Food -2 Service - 4 Value - 2

Food was excellent and the service was very friendly. Don't go expecting a restaurant atmosphere. It's just the kind of hole in the wall place you'd expect to find great food that won't break the budget.

Authentic Mexican at Los Potros in Kernersville was an absolute win this week. Some coworkers and I met up for lunch and we sat down immediately, but it filled up fast after 12:15. Keep that in mind if you come for lunch. We were given a two sided menu (English and Spanish) and there were specials written on a menu board by the kitchen. I ordered the carnitas torta and it was one of the best I've ever had! I split with my friend who ordered the carne asada tacos and the caldo de pollo rojo (red chicken soup). It was all amazing! Big portions and great prices. This place is nothing to look at on the inside, but let the food speak for itself! I can't wait to go back and try another one of their daily specials. And next time I'll take more pictures.

Yesterday was my first and last time dining here. I love authentic tacos and my usual spit is not open for dinner until Thursday. I decided to try this spot out. I was disappointed as everything was much higher. I ordered 3 Pollo tacos and they were 7.50 wher I go usually get 4 for $8.00 and my chicken isn't orange or dry. The drinks were also high. $4 00 for a fanta just one . We could have bought a six pa k of those for $4.00. Unfortunately after dropping over $30 for some tacos, drinks and two snacks for my daughter, I won't be coming back here. ? Cute store for other products just the restaurant is expensive.

Stopped in to Los Porto's on Cinco de Mayo to get some take out tacos and found not only great tacos but a great meat market to try next weekend. The place has a private parking lot that is shared with some additional businesses in the strip mall. The taqueria has your typical grocery store with a small seating area for eating inside. I called our order in and was able to pickup at the checkout counter. I walked to the preparation area to watch the ladies making tacos and fresh tortillas. The meat market is located adjacent to the prep area and has a great selection of seasoned meats and other favorites.I quickly paid for the tacos and headed home with our selections. We ordered carne asada, chicken, and chorizo tacos. The street tacos were reminiscent of the ones we used to get in South Texas and Arizona. They had fresh tortillas and were loaded with meat, cilantro, and onions. A grilled jalapeño came with them as did cucumber slices and salsa rojo and salsa verde. The meats were very well seasoned but the carne asada had a little too much cartilage in some of the tacos. The star of the show was the chorizo. It was well seasoned and had just the right amount of heat. Definitely a new place for our street taco fix. If you are ever in need of a quick take home meal and in the Kernersville area, this is the place to hit.

The food was good, tacos were good! Came with cooked jalapeño! Salsa was good! Service was fast! Ambiance and vibe was not fancy at all, more like street tacos! But very good street tacos! Will be back!

Best tacos in town. Consistent quality including delicious salsas. Add a coconut water and 4 goes to 5.
