Mickey's was a great little hometown diner in Kernersville for many, many years. Nothing fancy, but the food and ice cream were always good and their grilled pimento cheese sandwiches were money. Unfortunately Mickey's closed permanently just a few weeks ago and the building is now for sale. Just thought I would add this review so that people reading them will know that Mickey's is gone.

Ate lunch with 2 friends recently they both ordered cheeseburger meals AFTER me but got their food before me. I went to counter to ask what was up? They guy which I think was the owner acted like I was bothering him and said wait a few minutes and finally got mine to me but they were both finished eating by the time I got back to table. No apologies or anything. RUDE! Will not return here

Hands down the best hotdog I've had outside of West Virginia. The grilled bun puts it over the top for me. Great vegetable beef soup as well, but the footlong hotdog special is top notch.

We stopped into Mickeys this morning for a quick breakfast before the XC state championship. The service and food were beyond expectations. Nothing fancy but definitely delicious. my husbands name is Mickey and asked the woman behind the counter if he could buy a shirt, she said yes but needed to look for his size. she came back with the shirt and when asked what we owed, she graciously gifted us the shirt. Thank yall so much for the delicious meal, quick service and for the wonderful southern hospitality. If we ever find ourselves back out that way, we'll be back!

I came last week and again today and waited over 30 minutes for a simpleFootlong hotdog and french fries. Neither visit could they explain why it took so long to make my food. There were only a few customers in the restaurant.I have visited this restaurant for decades but I will not be coming back soon. It is absurd to wait more than 30 minutes for a hotdog.
Worst service ever and honestly I hate to say that because I always think the next visit will be better but honestly its worse.expect to wait 20 to 30 minutes and watch others get there order while you still wait.waited 25 minutes for a egg biscuit and tenderloin.watched 6 orders after we ordered go out with others waiting like me..the staff show's frustration with arguments or cussing on other visits and even the wait staff say there quitting and some are on drugs I feel bad for this place seeing its in my hometown and been coming for years

The food is still good. Having a few training problems as they open more hours. You can ask for menu modifications, for example, "make my fries crisperer". Ice Cream is excellent but now more expensive. Currently closes at 8 PM on Saturdays.

Went there this morning, The service is very slow for breakfast at 6am.. Got me a gravy biscuit with two eggs over easy.. The gravy was very good and the eggs was cooked the way i like them.. the sweet tea was good,,, Just wish service was a little better.
