This is the WORST chicken and grilled shrimp nachos I’ve ever eaten! This is my 1st food review ever so yea it was that bad. The chicken was not shredded, the shrimp was not grilled. The red sauce was literally pizza sauce and the actual tortillas was so stuck to the pan and dry that I had to put it in another dish and add cheese. And the nachos was actually just cold taco shells. It was so horrible I just threw it in the trash $20 down the drain. Disgusting food

Monte De Rey in Kernersville NC is truly something special. The food is so fresh and comes out incredibly fast and the flavor instantly takes me back to Guadalajara. The authenticity of the taste is unreal and every dish feels like a real home cooked Mexican meal. First let me start by saying thank you to the staff and owner for keeping such a clean and inviting environment. Table clean! Seat clean! The ledge that’s beside your head in the booth clean! Also the floor clean! Clean in a restaurant is very hard to come by these days.
The server was very helpful I ask what she would recommend and see rattled off let 6 things which ment I was in for a treat!
The food came out quick everything was delicious. I always try the meat by its self before going all in and each one was well seasoned and cooked as it should be with those little crispy bits that compact the flavor more!
A must try. Definitely a repeat eat!

I went to place a To-Go order at the Kernersville location. I ordered a guacamole regional and a large salsa but only got one bag of chips. When I asked for another bag the gentleman proceeded to argue with me and said the large salsa doesn’t typically come with chips.. he asked if I “understood” and I told him “No, I don’t understand. You want me to eat the salsa with a spoon?” He did end up giving me another bag and I thanked him, however he did not need to argue with me because I ordered the exact same thing before from the same guy and he had no issues giving me 2 bags last time. Also, if the large salsa doesn’t come with chips maybe next time inform the customer BEFORE they place their order that they will need to eat the salsa with a spoon…
