Ordered taco salad.. the meat was very salty and cold … I asked if chips and salsa came with it ??? Lady said yes .. when they brought out to me she said “oh no cause you order just one “ I would have ordered them had I not asked if they come with it !! I won’t go back !!

First let me start by saying thank you to the staff and owner for keeping such a clean and inviting environment. Table clean! Seat clean! The ledge that’s beside your head in the booth clean! Also the floor clean! Clean in a restaurant is very hard to come by these days.
The server was very helpful I ask what she would recommend and see rattled off let 6 things which ment I was in for a treat!
The food came out quick everything was delicious. I always try the meat by its self before going all in and each one was well seasoned and cooked as it should be with those little crispy bits that compact the flavor more!
A must try. Definitely a repeat eat!

I went to place a To-Go order at the Kernersville location. I ordered a guacamole regional and a large salsa but only got one bag of chips. When I asked for another bag the gentleman proceeded to argue with me and said the large salsa doesn’t typically come with chips.. he asked if I “understood” and I told him “No, I don’t understand. You want me to eat the salsa with a spoon?” He did end up giving me another bag and I thanked him, however he did not need to argue with me because I ordered the exact same thing before from the same guy and he had no issues giving me 2 bags last time. Also, if the large salsa doesn’t come with chips maybe next time inform the customer BEFORE they place their order that they will need to eat the salsa with a spoon…

Monte De Rey on South Main is hands-down one of the best Mexican restaurants around. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and served fast — whether you’re grabbing lunch or enjoying a family dinner. The chips and salsa are always a hit, and the menu has something for everyone. The staff is friendly, attentive, and makes you feel right at home. Clean dining area, great portions, and fair prices — it’s everything you want in a go-to Mexican spot. Highly recommend!

I ordered online and this is what I got. I also ordered sopapilla and they did not put it in the bag for delivery. Look at how dry the bottom of the pan is under my chicken, and look how dry the top of my chicken is. That is supposed to be ACP. The lady thought I was lying. So I have to put my own cheese, and I also did not get my dessert. SMH. And the solution after I called back, is for me to come up there and get the problem solved, but I ordered online to make sure I don’t have to go out to pick it up. I’m not happy with the solution to go and pick up Sopapilla tomorrow, because I refuse to go all the way up there tonight. I ordered delivery for a reason. SMH

This location is consistently terrible. We have ordered several times, hoping it would get better so we don’t have to drive all the way to Walkertown to order from Monte De Rey but tonight really did it for me. I won’t eat at this location again. First, they completely forgot 2/3 items we ordered tonight? Did not discover this until I drove all the way home. They put our queso in a styrofoam drinking cup which was weird, as well. We have ordered from here before, the nachos were inedible because they were so gross, the ACP is drier than crap. Like I said, we keep giving this place a chance since it is so convenient for us but the Walkertown location is 10/10 every time. The Kernersville staff is apathetic, the food does not taste fresh and tastes like it was made with no effort. The parking lot is the worst parking lot I have ever seen in my life. I can’t understand how they have about 10 parking spots for one restaurant but they did it. I cannot recommend avoiding this location enough, go to the Walkertown location. They never forget anything and the food there is fresh, you’d be surprised to know they are the same restaurant as the one in Kernersville.
