Best fish nuggets north of Charleston! Salmon sandwich is superb. Really fast service. Don't let the outside fool you. It's not a grille, it's a cool little place to pretend you're in the Keys (if you don't look out the window).

Woman answered the phone, sounding drunk and talking over me the entire time as I was asking questions about the menu to place a takeout order. She asked me verbatim “why do you like clams? They’re chewy and weird.” This woman is drunk at 5:30 on a Thursday at work? Why do you work at a seafood restaurant if you think the food is weird. She sounded like an alcoholic idiot and I hung up. I will not patronize a business that doesn’t show professionalism or respect to the customer.

Let me start out by saying that Kernersville has some upstanding citizens. We had a party of eight and was hoping to sit together. They have a patio area that at the time had only 2 open tables. Two ladies agreed to move down a table (I asked, not the restaurant) so we didn't have to wait as long for our group to be seated. They could've easily said no and all would have still been well and ok. They don't know it, but they made the night for me. The food here is amazing. It was so fresh and the staff made the experience even better. Everyone feels welcome at this place and it shows. I didn't catch our servers name, but he was awesome. Never let our drinks run dry and kept the table nice and clear for all the food we were ordering. Thank you Smitty's for a great birthday evening.
Met a guy with a cool shirt on from a bar in Ketchikan Alaska it was like I had know him for years. Food was fresh and great drinks and beers!

This was our first time here and we were not sure what to expect. It was a bit confusing when you walk in and asked some people eating at the bar and they were super cool and told us where to wait.
The food was good, and initially the staff was super attentive, but it was really busy and we were at the end of the bar so there were a few times we had to flag down a server. But the food was good and you could Really tell that the regulars really enjoy the slightly loud chaotic atmosphere.
I will say that the section of the bar we were at had duct tape holding it down which was kind of lame. Overall it was fun and we would come back for a drink and an appetizer or two.

I’ve been here several times and it’s great but I swing by one night for a quick appetizer and drinks, showed up at 9:05 and was told that they were closed. Despite the door sign saying 9:30, Google saying 9:30, their website saying 9:30, etc. I worked in restaurants for years and I know out sucks when it’s slow, but honor your hours. Otherwise, I won’t come if I don’t know you’re open
Smitty’s has become a tradition for us. The food is great, but the people are better!❤️
