My husband and I stopped in to grab lunch for the first time today. The owner, Jackson, is so welcoming and warm. He gave us a run down of the menu, answered any questions we had, and struck up a friendly conversation with us the whole time we were there. The food was phenomenal, I had the bulgogi and my husband had the ramen. The flavors, the portions, the presentation, all of it was exceptional. We will be regulars here. Thank you Jackson!

Our group ate in and ordered the Chicken Thai Red Curry, spring rolls, dumplings, and fried rice. The curry was spicy but good, the spring rolls first appeared to be way overcooked because they were dark brown but they tasted ok, the dumplings were fried and were ok as well, and the fried rice was just ok.
3 stars because their grade was a 90, the food was just ok, drink machines were not working, and the interior was a little dirty.

Ordered takeout - Our spring rolls were burnt! The sauces were very runny and inconsistent. I ordered hibachi chicken and the whole meal tasted like burnt sesame seed oil & salt. It was my first time trying Yoshi Express - not impressed at all and I won't be returning.

This is by far my favorite Asian restaurant in Kernersville (take out or sit down). The food is always fresh and delicious & the price is excellent per portion size. The hibachi scallops were better than you’ll find in most seafood restaurants.

We tried to go order pickup and I ordered the same thing I did previously and she charged me extra, then told me that was the only option, I said that was fine I didn’t want the extra and she said “thank you” in a rude tone and then I said I didn’t think I wanted to eat there and the responded “GOOD!”. I have never had an experience like that ordering food, I will never order here again.
I stopped and ordered take out on a Monday night. I made the mistake of ordering shrimp pad thai. The first indication something was wrong was being informed the prices were reduced 33%. There were people dining in, eating sushi so I thought it was worth a try anyways. When I opened the lid in the car I almost threw up right there. The foul smell of urine was so unexpected so I had to look up on the internet “shrimp smells like pee”. Yes, that is the smell of extremely rotten shrimp. Google confirms it means DO NOT EAT IT. Not that anyone would be able to stomach such a vile smell. It went right in the trash. The next day I called to let them know. The person who cooked it told me there was no way the shrimp was bad because he cooked it and they get fresh seafood every Tuesday. Do the math… so I ordered shrimp on a Monday not knowing this was going to be week old seafood. It gets worse when he tells me that they always serve the unused shrimp from the previous day. I’m guessing an especially slow Sunday, refrozen/rethawed shrimp ended up spoiling and being cooked up on the grill. I still have questions how ANYONE could cook such disgusting shrimp and not smell the enormous amount of ammonia that smelled like nursing home soaked urine diapers. He told me to call back the next day because the manager wasn’t there but honestly, I don’t have the time or energy for that! I don’t live close by and even if he offered a refund I wouldn’t go back. The pad Thai did not look good anyways and the other dish was edible, I will leave it at that. I just hope they correct the obviously poor food safety practices that lead to this terrible experience. It could truly make an immunocompromised person severely ill.

The peanut sauce lately has been very inconsistent really disappointing. I look forward to that sauce and lately to has been a fail. Very runny this time the time before it was sour tasting.

Food took longer than expected. The filet mignon added to the pho was 90% fat. Fresh spring rolls looked like they were thrown together at the last minute.
I've been here before and it's been decent. Not going back though.
