Aloha Poke and Grill

I feel so bad to write this review, but I would never eat here again. I placed a takeout order, and the tuna was beyond expired; it was smelly, had a bad texture, and was dark grey/brown in color. I tried reaching out to the restaurant, but was ignored. See photo.

I really hate leaving a bad review but I went in 2 days ago for a teriyaki chicken bowl ($15.62) I paid with my card and as I was signing it I said here’s a cash tip. I gave her 4 $1. My card just updated and I apparently put a $3 tip on my card as well? It’s now updated to $18.62 when I never put a tip on the recipient. Seems like they turned my 15 into a 18. Pretty sad. I know it’s just $3 and I really love this place but I felt the need to say something to warn others if that’s how they do things

Not worth it. Medium and large bowls are same size. Ordered large bowl with 3 protein, got only one. Looking for lunch or dinner, order 2 large bowl for one person. Place only for show off.

The taste is average, all kinds are forced to mix and match, and the taste is inconsistent.

Poke box is a much better option in the area. The service here is slow because they make the poke bowls after you sit down. The sauce wasn’t anything special and I didn’t like the atmosphere (old Chinese takeout place feeling).

It breaks my heart to say this but I cannot in good conscience give this business anymore than two stars. The ordering dynamic was a little all over the place and the best part of my meal was the drink I purchased from the cooler. Staff was incredibly nice but the veggies like corn were obviously canned or bought frozen from the Harris teeter next door. I’m sure they have other good options but the customized poke bowl was extremely disappointing. Spent $40 to eat 2 bites.
