3rd try today and your out . 3rd time we have driven out to eat at capt’ franks and due to the last 2 times they where closed during the the posted open days we checked the face book page and website called the number and all appeared to be open until we got the location and again they where closed 🤨 the upside is we have tried numerous different restaurants in the area as result and have enjoyed them !!

If you're anywhere near the outer banks, Capt'n Franks is an absolute must visit place! This place is a local gem and hands down one of the best hot dog joints we've ever been to. The vibe is super fun and casual perfect for families, beachgoers or anyone craving a classic American bite!

Had the north Carolina BBQ sandwich and it wasn't at all what I expected. I even put bbq sauce on it and it didn't help.
