Came during the off season, but was a recommendation from the Wild Horse Adventure Tours. The caesar salad was large portion, could definitely split for 2 people. My 11 yr had the classic cheeseburger which he loved said it was not overcooked and great. My husband and I had fish/shrimp and chip platters, nice portion sizes, delish cocktail sauce to dip. Staff was very friendly and service wsa perfect, a hidden gem for sure.

We never received one of the apps we ordered. We were going to raise the issue but our waiter left mid-service (assuming end of shift). A nearby table had issues with their meal (found something inedible on their plate).
Food was bland and basic at best (we had better meals locally). It was a big disappointment as we went based on the DDD episode.
Dietary restrictions: When the server was asked about GF options he wasn't sure and said he'd ask the kitchen but never followed up with us.

This restaurant is a staple on our yearly vacations. We are not a big seafood family, and Coastal Cravings is one of very few places that even offers a variety of options for us. The steaks are amazing! Seafood for thise that got it was outstanding! Drinks are great! We showed up 21 people deep just after they opened and were seated in minutes. The service is awesome, not a disappointed person in our party. 10 out of 10...highly recommend!
Kid-friendliness: With a 21 person party, 6 of which were between 6 and 14, they handled those kids with grace! They gave them their own table, communicated with them directly (clearing everything they ordered with the adults afterwards), even took the littles inside to pick their own cookies. Couldn't have asked for a better wait staff.

We were out shopping and dropped in for a quick bite without really looking much into it. Needless to say, we’re very glad we did. We ordered hushpuppies, coconut shrimp and mahi bites for apps. ALL delicious! For our meals we got the classic burger, fish (rockfish) and fries, the chicken wrap and fish tacos. Everyone across the board said it was the best version of their dish they had ever had. On top of it all, the food came out piping hot and fast. If you’re looking for a place to eat a casual meal and relax, look no further….this is THE place to eat!

Ordered takeout. Was told to pick it up at the drive thru window. Get to the drive thru window and I'm waiting 10 minutes. Knocking on the window. Honking my car twice. Everyone inside is just ignoring me. Go into the restaurant to pick up my food and ask why no one is answering the window. Blonde lady points to the window and smartly says "obviously we can't see out the drive thru window". Makes sense to have a drive thru window that you can't see out of? Apparently it's sound proof too? Smart operation run by even smarter people.
Guys scallops......nothing fancy. Food was not anything to brag about but it was good. Had a long wait but luckily there is an outside bar with entertainment on the same property.

We have gone here twice for dinner and have really enjoyed the experience out back where there is a tiki bar, live music and outdoor tables. I would give that area. 5/5.
We had a group of 8 and we asked to be seated outside. After our wait we were seated outside, but at 2 different tables. The tables are bolted to the ground and are unable to be moved to accommodate larger parties. Be ware of this if you are traveling in large groups. The food was decent, but for a nicer dinner I am not sure if we will be back due to the fact that we typically visit the outer banks with a larger group.
