Change your Google picture you haven't sold soft serve in years.Thats what we went for to find out no soft-serve. very disappointed. ice cream not good, overpriced, stale brownies in sundae, not real wet nuts in turtle sundae, generic caramel & fudge syrup. awful fudge. Too many other good ice cream places around, won't be coming back.

Used to love this stop for ice cream - but prices are outrageous. $10 root beer float, $1+ per ice cream topping. The hair in my 1 scoop was free though. Save your money and hit up Surfinâ Spoon in Nags Head.

So many choices of ice cream that it's hard to decide. Staff was friendly and efficient. Even a small cone is a bit pricey though.

We stopped by here to grab a quick ice cream snack. There was only one person working and the group before us ordered a lot of milkshakes, it ended up taking so long the group behind us gave up and left. No one else was wearing masks either, including the staff person, so the prolonged service time was more of a concern than it typically would be. The staff member that fulfilled our order was helpful and friendly and didn't seem frustrated despite it being fairly late and busy. Maybe low staffing due to COVID, not sure. The ice cream was just okay, not bad but nothing I would seek out again especially with other concerns. One of my biggest concerns is a lack of seating, there are hardly any tables at all, and poor lighting. We ended up at a small table just off the main walkway in a flowerbed. It was quite dark so I couldn't see much and I ended up being bitten by what I think were fire ants because it was only on my feet and no one else was bothered (all other were in closed toed shoes, I was in sandals). Multiple bites on both feet, with intense burning then itching for days! I would not advise sitting there unless you have on shoes or at least shine a light under the table to look around first.

So happy we went to Distinct Delights! Thank you for your deliciously cute chocolates. They added the beach like theme to my sister and brother-in-laws Anniversary cake since we are celebrating here. It was a hit! Yummy too! :D Whatâs not shown are the starfish and the cutest crab along the side of the cake and the adorable dolphins - to be eaten later, I assure you. Everyone loved it! THANK YOU for adding to our celebration!

Big Bucks in Duck/Corolla was closed so we trekked back to Kitty Hawk to try another Big Bucks determined to try their "homemade ice cream". Their signs are everywhere on OBX so we thought they must be the greatest? We went in, no one including the worker were wearing masks however there was a piece of plexiglass up? We asked to try a flavor and were told we could not due to the Covid...what...what does that have to do with a taste of ice cream? You hand us a spoon, we try it and toss the spoon in the trash. We pointed out that no one including the worker were wearing masks so clearly Covid had nothing to do with it. We asked her to explain this and she couldn't; basically she said "it's the rules". Clearly it was for cost savings by not giving out tastes. How do you know what flavor you want without trying it? We left and knew we would never go to a Big Bucks ever again. We went down the road to Scoops (710 S Croatan Hwy KDH) for the best ice cream on the island, friendly staff and delicious ice cream which we were allowed to taste by happy staff. KUDOS to Scoops!!!!
