My husband and I had the opportunity to dine here yesterday, while visiting from Charlotte . Our server was an amazing young man named Jason. When I shared with him that we were extremely pleased by our experience and the amazing food, he shared that he was the son of Liz, the owner, and that his uncle worked there as well. I asked him if I could meet his mother to tell her how pleased we were. She graciously came out of the trenches of the fryer to speak with us. I commended her on her amazing restaurant, food quality , humility and resilience. This place is a definite destination anytime we are in OBX! Food and service were impeccable!!!!! Definitely recommend

It's better than Captain Georges to me. With a better variety. 7 different types of crab legs. I'm all in!Vegetarian options: There was a great salad bar.Parking: Parking is free. And there is space for parking. That is until the lot is filled.Kid-friendliness: There was a kids buffet as well.

I was a little concerned when we arrived, but I was quickly retaught the classic lesson: don't judge a book by its cover. Jimmy's is a must-try.I'll admit that we probably got the best experience, arriving right as they opened. The food was incredibly fresh and delicious (though don't make the silly mistake I did, going for the kids' foods, like mac and cheese and corn-dog nuggets), and everything was readily available.I highly recommend every single dessert available (didn't bother with ice cream, so I'm not sure on that). The cheesecake is the best of the three they have (peanut-butter pie and Key Lime pie being the other two).The service was nice, too, of course. If you told me we got special attention because it was my friend's 19th anniversary of eating here, I'd totally believe it! Our server, whose name I unfortunately don't remember, was very attentive and helpful. Our drinks were rarely below half.The only downside I can think of would be that, if it were busy, I could see the buffet area being crowded; it's not particularly roomy. But that's the price to pay (along with $55.99 a head) for good food.Oh, and lobster is all-you-can-eat on Saturdays!

I dined at this establishment on April 25, 2024. We were placed by a window and it was cold inside the building. The food was cold and there wasn't any fried fish on the bar at all. This place charges the same as Captain George but Captain George gives you more choices in food, a much better desert bar and a nicer environment. This is not the place to go if you are planning on enjoying a good selection of seafood.

Well to say I’m heartbroken after paying $133 for food worth $19.99 would be an understatement. Unfortunately not at all what i expected. In all fairness I will say that maybe buffets just aren’t my thing anymore, but for me the food was pretty bland and cold. We did go closer to 8p and it tasted like the food had been sitting out since they opened. I can’t understand all the good reviews but to each their own.

If you really love crab this is the place. Biggest Snow Crab I ever saw or ate. Our server Beau was great. They had types of Crab I never heard of. The cooked Crab was not cooked in spice but they had all kinds and brands of spice for you to add yourself I had over 8 large clusters of Crab and corn and fried shrimp. I thought I was going to bust.

It's was ok I wish I was as excited to post a review as I was to go eat here! I was looking forward to eat all the seafood I could handle lol but it just didn't hit the mark idk why. Would not go back due to quality vs price also I got 3 drinks while there for $45 I mean 15 a drink is steep for the type of place it was .

Saw the Facebook post showing Jimmys opened last weekend so we packed up and came down for spring break! Love the food and the staff are always friendly and on top of everything. I wish the T-shirts were easier to look at but it’s hard to fight the incoming families to view them.
