Stopped in and enjoyed a Barbecue Chicken Pizza with my wife while here on vacation and I think we found our new favorite pizza in the OBX. Excellent crust!

Excellent NY style pizza. Nicely balanced sauce with just the right amount of toppings. Cannoli and Tiramisu cake are great additions to round out a delicious meal.

Got the crusties pizza rolls to go. Really good dough but some weren't cooked all the way through. Customer service was a little lackluster but that seems to be the case everywhere in the obx. The menu looks delicious. May give it another shot.

Just get pizza if you go here. Italian dinners are not good at all. Out of the 4 of us only one person enjoyed their meal. Take note of the small print "red flag" on the menu which basically warns you that you may not like the food... I should have heeded the warning.

Not really what I imagine “New York style” pizza to be but good nonetheless. They went out of their way to make sure our pizza came out right.

Walking in, it smelled amazing and the atmosphere was great. Ordered the pizza rolls and a beef and bacon pizza to go, and both were very tasty. Definitely want to go back and try the other options.

We recently had the pleasure of dining at **Max’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria**, located at **1712 N Croatan Hwy, Kill Devil Hills, NC**, and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a cozy and intimate atmosphere, perfect for a romantic dinner for two.

The food was absolutely delicious—authentic Italian flavors that truly hit the spot. We paired our meal with an exquisite bottle of wine, which only elevated the entire experience. Every detail, from the attentive service to the delightful ambiance, made for a memorable evening.

If you’re in the area, we highly recommend you visit Max’s. Whether you're a local or just passing through, this place is a must-try for anyone who appreciates great food and a welcoming atmosphere!

My daughter & I have been coming for years now. You can tell they're using high quality flour for the pizza dough. Truly excellent; a gift to have this on OBX.🙌 One tip is we recommend is to order pies with "light sauce" to get it closer to the NY style pies we love. Wings, calamari & fries also top class appetizers/sides. Excellent assortment of red wines by the glass too. The Toscana red blend is my value pick👍

We did take out from here while visiting. The chicken pesto pizza is out of this world. The clams & linguine in white sauce was fabulous. The pizza crusties are awesome. It was fast. The cashier was absolutely wonderful. Very hospitable. I’ll make this place a staple on our vacations to OBX.

Last night in Kitty hawk we ordered in delivery we're very pleased with the service the food and the delivery person would highly recommend We had bruschetta which is absolutely marvelous we had calzone was fabulous serving was huge Philly cheesesteak that can serve three people and two orders of cannoli that was to die for We will definitely order again on our next trip

Thank you to my favorite restaurant. After 4 years since my last comment, today I wanted to express my special thanks to the beautiful and friendly staff of this wonderful restaurant. The chef prepares delicious dishes, I recommend my favorite is eggplant parmesan. I noticed that the dish came with a classic Italian "tool"? a spoon for easy fork-twisting spaghetti, an extra knife for cutting especially delicately cooked eggplant slices. This place knows a thing or two about classic Italian cuisine.
Especially I would like to thank the charming beautiful workers of this restaurant and express words of support to the Ukrainians who make our world better and beautiful. Glory to the heroes of Ukraine ❤️‍ ??
