Pulled up to Front Porch Coffee thinking I was just grabbing caffeine.
Nah.
I got resurrected by espresso.
Theresa and Taylor don’t make coffee — they run a caffeine revival on the beach. I walked in half asleep, windblown, questioning my life choices… and left ready to buy oceanfront property I can’t afford.
The vibe? Front porch Southern charm with main-character energy.
The coffee? Strong enough to wake up the Wright Brothers.
The service? Faster than OBX traffic before the bridge backs up.
Theresa runs that place like a 5-star general of grind and steam.
Taylor hands you a cup like she already knows it’s about to fix your entire morning.
And let me say this clearly —
If you have a problem here… if you leave a bad review here…
YOU are the problem.
Not the coffee.
Not the service.
Not the vibe.
This is hands down the best coffee in OBX. Period.
10/10. Would happily let them emotionally stabilize me with espresso again. ☕🔥

The morning crew sees me nearly every day and has amazing conversation, and the coffee remains stellar as with the other locations, coming here is a good way to start the day!

Cold coffee and service was sub par at front porch cafes newest location. An order for 2 coffees was placed at the front counter while being 2 of 3 people in the shop. The other person was seated already and taken care of. I had to ask to be given our order which took about 15 minutes to receive once the inquiry was made. I most likely will never return.

We've visited many of the front porch locations. I love that they utilize the drive through at this one. I had a white raspberry iced? Very sweet. Great as a dessert coffee.

If I could give 0 starts I would. I’ll start by saying coffee is good but dang what a scam. Been a local on the beach my whole life and I’ve never been to a shop here and felt out of place. The workers are never personable it’s like talking to a kiosk. And you can’t even order a flavored Frappuccino ( well you can because I’ve done it a couple times but I guess everyday is different just depends on each kiosk’s mood)😂. They spent about 5 minutes trying to tell me you can’t order a flavored Frappuccino and then going into depth explaining their “frio”. I don’t even understand the difference just blend my damn coffee and make your customer happy especially when the coffee cost $10. I’d fully recommend Ashley’s Espresso Parlor or Shore Coffee Roasters… get your moneys worth don’t deal with these scammers.

I stopped by the new Front Porch Coffee location in Kitty Hawk and was so impressed! I showed Joslyn a picture of a drink I was interested in, and she recreated it perfectly—honestly, it tasted even better than I imagined. The staff made it such a great experience from start to finish. If you’re in the mood for a delicious fall drink, feel free to use the picture of my order as inspiration. Definitely way better than Starbucks!

I got the Mediterranean yogurt cup and it was good—just as described. The spinach and feta pastry was great. I got a small hot tea, and not only was it molten hot with no sleeve, but it was very watered down. There should be two tea bags for their small size cup. My friend got the coconut cold brew: it was too sweet for her taste, but if you like that you should get it. Nothing special, but the cashier was nice and the porch seats were comfortable.

Great atmosphere, staff was very friendly, as always the coffee was great. We also had the chocolate crasant and turnover...both to die for..you gotta give this local business a try...you be back
