Ordered the chef's board special and it was a variety of deliciousness! We visit the OBX yearly and we always make sure to eat here. The service was excellent as well.
A lovely date spot, had a wonderful meal. We purchased The Dune and the Mack Daddy cocktails, the Seagood Trinity, and the Carolina Crab Dip, all of which was wonderful.
Had a great lunch! Shrimp and grits were excellent.... my friends had fish tacos and crab dip. . Both equally as good. Serving size was a bit small on fish tacos and dip... but otherwise an excellent experience! Our server, Jacob, was hands down the best server I've had on the Banks.
The views of the sound are amazing. The shops range from snacks to collectables. The restaurants offe the most amazing and fresh dishes.
NC Coast is a MUST when traveling to he northern part of OBX. Get the board - you won't be disappointed. It's the best way to sample all the amazing dishes. Fed 2.5 people. Also, was pleasantly surprised at the cost of the kids menu. Kids loved the food and it was affordable.
Had under-board steamed seafood platter and beignets -excellent! Seated in the corner near the kitchen when waterfront was reserved. Service was slow at start-about 15 min to get drinks-but improved dramatically after another table left. Restaurant is warehouse like so a little noisy. Decent price point for seafood. We will return again next time we're in Duck.
A fantastic spot right on the sound. Food is terrific - try the pork chop, you will not be disappointed. Its basically their take on a tomahawk ribeye only with a tender, juicy porkchop and a 10 or 12 inch rib attached. Both are flavorful and cooked to perfection - no dried out chop here. My only negative is that they don't take reservations in season (beginning April 1st) so we won't get up that way again until after labor day.
Excellent as always. Best shrimp and grits around. My wife is addicted the salmon dinner, especially the risotto mashed potatoes. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
Thought this place was great until my daughter told me she had a hair in her food. Open kitchen and you could see no one was wearing a hair net. Also, the place did not look very clean. Which was a shame because the drinks and the food were actually really good
We were seated quickly and had a bird's eye view of all of the activity in the kitchen Our server was so friendly and knowledgeable and our food came quickly. I had the scallops entree and it was simply divine. I will definitely one back next time I'm in Duck.

Have visited many times. Food and service has always been 1st class. Best to visit during the off season (Nov-March). As all good establishments are it is difficult to get a table during in season.
We had an outstanding dining experience at NC Coast! We were initially seated at a suboptimal table. Upon seeing my dissatisfaction, the staff quickly moved us to a better location and proceeded to exceed all expectations. The steamed oysters were to die for! For main courses, we chose the tomahawk pork chop and the salmon. These were ample dishes, complete with seasonal roasted veggies, which were delicious. My husband ordered the salt & lime beer which was a lovely accompaniment. Overall, this was a very enjoyable meal. I highly recommend!
Wonderful place for a meal anytime of the day! Today, a group of friends celebrated Galentine’s Day.
The best little place in Duck! The chef's board is worth every penny and absolutely delicious. The little beignets are amazing and the drinks are top notch. I love eating here and try to make it every time I'm in town.
We enjoyed dinner here for my husband's birthday and the food was excellent. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. It was quite crowded for February (one of the few restaurants open on a Monday night). The floor plan is open, so not a ton of ambiance and it is definitely loud, but it is well decorated. We weren't able to enjoy the view as it was dark when we arrived. Only big downside was the limited dessert menu (beignets are the only option).
