If you're considering booking - just DO IT! The whole experience was 10/10 from start to finish. Easy to order, everyone I spoke to was above and beyond kind, and the event itself was so fun. We had 11 people so we did the full catering boil. They came out, sets everything up, engages anyone interested in the cooking process, and cleans everything up as well. Win, win! Braeden could not have been more fun and engaging. My whole family raved about not only the food but also the service as the highlight of the trip. Thank you, OBX Boil Company, for a new family tradition!!

Updated: OBX Boil was very responsive and the solution for my issue was handled very professionally when they saw my review. I am impressed with the company and the initiative for customer service. I would try to this company again.
This review is for TAKEOUT as all the amazing reviews are for catering and I did not see one for the takeout service. Food was very disappointing in the take out container. I added extra pounds of crab legs and to be honest most of the crab went into the trash as the legs were brown and yuck (guessing the company keeps the better crab for the catering orders) and the crab and shrimp were way overcooked when cooked to the exact directions provided. I had been looking forward to this so much and was so disappointed. If you have enough people for catering - do it! If not - I would skip it 100% of the time. I spent $350 approximately for 5 people - biggest food regret of my vacation.

Everything was delicious!! Doug has the best personality and helped bring life to the party! We had another Company upstairs doing a seafood boil too and many of those people came down to have ours instead. The cornbread and crab legs were the stars of the show! He even came with his own trash can for us. We got our leftovers too!

What a great experience. Ordered a pot and took it to our campsite. Cooked it on the camp stove. Turned out perfect. I would say this is a must do.

Doug was a hero! He sacrificed an Asiago sausage to help us lure the dog out of the house to do his business. Doug made sure nothing got in the boil!! 🐕 Seriously Doug is a pro and makes the experience a true vacation treat!! Request Doug for your next boil (seafood boil- not the other kind) 💯 guarantee!!

Chris came by our vacation rental for a catered boil and it was FANTASTIC! A few people in our group went into dinner disliking seafood and left with their minds changed. Chris was very friendly and we enjoyed chatting with him. Looking forward to doing this again!

ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Our favorite night of the year is boil night in the Outer Banks! You cannot go wrong with the Outer Banks Boil Company and Doug was amazing! Can’t wait until next time!
