Shipwrecks Taphouse & Grill

We're always looking for new restaurants to try, and tonight we found this gem. Of all the times we've been to the outer banks, we somehow never tried Shipwrecks. It is absolutely awesome. Food was fresh, flavorful, and well priced for the portions you receive. The atmosphere is akin to an upbeat ocean themed sports bar, however it is charming and enjoyable. Our server was excellent, very polite and attentive. I highly recommend giving Shipwrecks a try. You won't be disappointed

Went there to get some seafood. I got crab legs and an admirals feast. Everything was delicious. Our server Carolyn was amazing.

If I ever make it down there again, I will definitely eat there again.

Fiancé and I came here for dinner during vacation. Lively spot on a Saturday night - live music, outdoor seating (ground level + deck), big bar inside (where we sat) and at least a dozen big screens for sports. Good mix of baseball, NFL, and UFC. Great beer selection on tap. Hushpuppies appetizer was great and I loved my shrimp tacos + fries, but the cheesy chicken mac missed the mark. Very smoked flavor, which may not bother some people, but menu description didn’t indicate that at all. Bar service was bit slow, but that’s to be expected at any bar on a Saturday night. The bartender was cool about the pasta and comped it off the bill. Overall we had a good time here chatting with locals at the bar and will definitely come back anytime we’re at OBX.

First time in the Outer Banks and was drawn in based on the vibe of the outside. Melina was our server and she was so lovely and patient with us. She was busting her butt running around everywhere and doing so much, GIVE THAT GIRL A RAISE!!
