We've been coming to OBX for many years for vacation. Can't believe we've been missing out all these years, but we definitely won't from now on! The gentleman with the longer hair bringing out orders is super friendly and great at his job! The owner (I believe) who took our order was also friendly and helpful! I got the $4, 1/4lb cheeseburger with tots. Hubby got the buffalo burger and cajun fries. Delicious and fairly cheap! Then my husband decided after reading a few things- he needed a hotdog. The owner recommended it with cheese and bacon- 1,000,000/10!

I frequent Spanky's whenever I'm at my place in Kitty Hawk RV. Great Rueben sandwich! Substituted onion rings & requested them EXTRA EXTRA well done, DARK DARK brown. Joked with the owner about when youre walking over to the fryer, STOP, turn around and come back in 3 minutes. LOL! They didn't disappoint. WOW, best onion rings Ive had in the OBX! Awesome!!! Now if I could just get them to import some Chicago style Italian beef?
I have been coming to the outer banks for the past 40 years. I have passed by Spanky's many times and never stopped. This past week my wife and I stopped in for lunch when we arrived at the beach and loved the food, hospitality, and price. So good we ate there again leaving the beach. Fresh made to order food, great service, and surprisingly reasonable prices. Definitely will be on our restaurant list from here on out. I just hate we never tried it before now. Great place!
