we found this family owned and run breakfast restaurant on our first morning here, and just keep coming back every morning. The food is hot and fresh and the owners steve and his wonderful wife are warm and welcoming

The potatoes were cold and seasoning on them was terrible. The biscuits and gray looked good but the flavor was awful. The pancakes was good.

My elderly mother in law has a specific way she asks for her fried egg, and Steve cooked it perfectly for her. The service was timely and attentive, and our meals were delicious. Thank you!

My family and I vacationed in OBX this past weekend. We ate at Stack ‘em High Pancakes and we are hooked! The food is amazing, but the staff is what really makes the place. You feel like family there. Everyone is so pleasant and kind. People come over and make sure everything is good, but also talk to you and love to hear where you’re from and talk about your vacation. You feel like you’ve known these people your whole life. The place is packed full of people, but the wait time isn’t long. We will always come here for breakfast when we are in the area, even when the hotel provides a free breakfast. We couldn’t ask for a better place to go to in the morning, meet amazing people, and eat the best food! Definitely a must-go when you’re in OBX! You won’t be disappointed!

Our first visit was absolutely awesome. Everything was perfect from the small wait time to the blueberries on the pancakes. We will be visiting again. I wholeheartedly recommend this excellent establishment.

Wow— the none friendly greeting of “what do you want to drink” without patience way annoying while we were trying to read the restaurant instructions and menu!! We had never been here nor at a place like this… no patience for that!! The food was minimal. Eggs and waffle had no flavor, grits were watered down and coffee was weak!! I found a HAIR in my last bite of omelet! 😝 Bathroom was not in working order- soap doesn’t come out nor did paper towels!
We would NOT recommend this at all!!

Busy day completely understand being below the service staff's radar. Food was ok at best definitely lower than typical greasy spoon diner quality. My wife and I shared a cup of coffee just because asking a 3rd time was farcical. Made for great conversation. Family pictures on the wall felt elitist and not family friendly.

Who thought this was a good idea? What a silly method to order and be served. It's breakfast food, food is fine. The whole ordering system is a joke. Avoid and go to McDonalds.

Stack them high pancakes is a convenient spot right in Nags Head, NC. Lots of vacationing visitors as well as local people enjoy this cafeteria style restaurant that gets you in and out with reasonable prices and tasty dishes. I will be back. I noticed while I was dining in that this is also a restaurant that has bilingual staff to accommodate visitors of different ethnicities.

It is a perfect family place to go together and share a good breakfast. They have all kinds of varieties of food. The service is usually very good and welcoming. The 🥞 are the best.... My 6 children love them and the prices are variable too.

Kid-friendliness: I have 6 kids, all of them are different ages and this place is amazing. They love him!!!
