Stopped in while on vacation, first time for us but won't be the last. Had acai bowls the first night, they were fabulous! Came back later that week for smoothies after a run, they were also fantastic! Shop was clean and everyone was friendly, highly recommend.

We discovered The Spot several years ago and go here every day when on vacation! The açaí bowls and smoothies are amazing and we have tried several of the other place in OBX. The açaí and fruit seems to be the freshest and a lot of choices.
The açaí bowls are very good and the portions are good. Staff is very friendly and helpful, we have been going everyday while visiting and is a must have every-time we visit. Definitely recommend.

I placed an order online over 20 mins before I arrived (as it said orders could take up to 20 mins to make when busy). When I arrived I had to wait an additional 20 minutes in the order line. Once I got to the order counter I told the employee my order name. He came back out shortly with part of my order (2 bowls) and told me that I had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the avocado toast that I ordered.
So not only did I have to wait for 40 minutes once I placed my order to even talk to someone about picking it up. I then had to wait an ADDITIONAL 20 minutes for 2 pieces of toast with some pre-made avocado put on it.
This experience was absolutely terrible and I will never comeback to this place ever again. I understand it's busy but that was the point of ordering ahead. No one should come here until this place can get their crap together. There were people being told they would have to wait 40 minutes for just 2 bowls. Absolutely ridiculous.
Go here if you want to waste half your morning waiting for anything.
