Solid BBQ, one star off because I feel they're skimpy on the meat portions. I ordered the 2 meat plate with brisket and ribs. Received 1-1/2 slices of brisket and 2 ribs. The baked beans were terrific and the mac & cheese was very good. Great staff also.

It was just okay… definitely overpriced and over hyped. I kept hearing this is the closest to Texas style barbecue and it definitely wasn’t. Meat was dry… I would look at other options. We won’t be returning.

This is the best BBQ in NC, but it's not NC BBQ. It is Texas style. My soon-to-be son-in-law is from Texas, he said it tastes like home.They open at 11 and close when they sell out, so go early! You can also order ahead of time online and pick it up.We will be using them to cater my daughter's wedding.

Excellent food - 10/10 brisket, Mac and cheese and cobbler; bbq sauce was unique and so delicious we bought a bottle to take home. Great outdoor seating and very clean. And the service was exceptional! Super friendly and even when busy, they took the time to help us carry food to our table without us even asking and were checking on tables mid-meal. They clearly care a lot about customers having a good experience. . We will be back soon!

Definitely a barbecue place you want to visit! Great food and wonderful owner. Make sure you get there a little bit early because the lines do get long.
I had a two meat plate.Brisket is Texas good. I've been to Lockhart, Salt Lick, Pecan Lodge, and many bbq places in between. I even competed in IBCA and placed.This brisket is as good as it gets.The sausage is good too.My wife had ribs and pulled pork and she said they were good.Get there early, we waited an hour in line. They serve food until they run out. Any place that does not do it that way is serving you food that they cooked earlier in the week.The next time I go I will just get brisket and order it by the pound.Edit to add:The return was just as awesome. I ordered half pound of lean and half pound of moist. The Mac n cheese and slaw on the side. This time I also took home a bottle of their sauce to use on my own brisket.Prime BBQ is the standard for brisket in NC.

What a great spot for BBQ. Just get in line early or you may miss out.I have had the brisket twice, both lean and fatty slices. It was great. Turkey has a perfect amount of smoke and the rice is amazing.Definitely worth the wait if you're caught in the line.
