** Long Post Warning** OOHHHHH MYYYYYY GOOOOOODDDDDDD! Outside of Texas I have never had such delicious barbecue. The brisket will have you crying like a baby and the I house made pimento cheese sausage is crazy! The bbq rice is perfect and the pork bbq is ridiculous and flavor packed to the last bite. The whole staff is pretty much Military Veterans and you can see and hear them working together to make sure service is quick and seamless. The best barbecue place in NC hands down. Each year he honors active duty and military veterans with free food for the whole family. Most places that do military meals only give it to the military person and it's usually a lunch size portion of 3-4 options on a limited menu. Not at Prime. You get the same options and portions for free as you would if you paid. I have a family of 6 so imagine what kind of bill we usually have. To have that paid for and get the quality of food we get is mind blowing. Prime has a special table that can be reserved by veterans or active duty that seats 8-10 people and it's awesome. The owner Christopher Prieto is the most genuine and humble man on earth. My wife sat down to eat one day and he seen my Navy Veteran shirt. He asked me if he could sit down and thanked me for my service and just started talking to me and my wife like we knew each other all our lives. I knew I seen his face before and then I realized he was on Food Networks Chopped in the barbecue championship representing NC. My family is a family of faith and so is he. He talked to us about how God gave him his vision and his purpose for the restaurant and how he uses proceeds to help veterans and families in need have meals and basic necessities as his way of showing the love of the Lord. I cannot say enough about this place. My wife and I go every chance we get.

Brisket sooo good I bought a damn T-Shirt If you see a line, please don't be discouraged, this is a good sign and worth the wait. The Brisket - life changing Sausage- Flawless Pull Pork - impeccable I asked the GM or who I believe is the manager about hush puppies cornbread etc, and I feel that this could be too much for me, im happy with the current selections The staff is nice, like real nice, like provide samples and ask how your day is going nice. This place is clean, bathroom spotless, like I can lay on the floor it's so clean. If you have kids bring them, they can play outside and vibe while you wait in line for some of Carolinas finest brisket. I can keep going but no need. 5 Stars!

We discovered this place walking around during my daughters dance class and what a great find. Everything we have tried is amazing. We especially love the empandas. It's a great atmosphere, and kid friendly, I love the lights, Spanish music and casual vibe.

The ambiance is nice. There is a kid's play place outside for toddlers. This restaurant is really spacious so that's a plus. Service was okay. I think the fast pace of the line confused the guys taking orders. It was my first time here but I realize it's best to ask questions about portion size and recommendations prior to arriving so to not hold the line. My friend and I got there right when it opened and it was super busy. We ordered burnt ends because it was advertised as a Wednesday special. The server just chopped up a piece of brisket and gave it to us ala cart which cost more than an actual brisket platter. We were under the impression we'd get the actual burnt ends of the brisket. Also all of the food was luke warm unfortunately. If it was hot I'd give 4 stars.

The Moist Brisket can go up with the best in the Country. Come before 3 or it could be sold out. The cobbler, beans and MAC are amazing. Great owner who comes and says HI to his patrons. It's just a great place to eat!

My son and his family are here visiting from California and wanted to eat southern food. We choose Prime Barbecue Restaurant and we weren't disappointed at all. Everything we ordered was delicious!! I highly recommend it!!

The food was incredible I had the beef rib and Mac and cheese both were the best I've ever had. The service was just as good as the food the manager Marcus gave my wife and I a tour of the pits and showed us the meats and how they were cooked and even showed us how they created a specialty sausage for st Patrick's day, just an unbelievable experience.

Tried this place for lunch...the line was kinda long and could use more workers, but the staff was very friendly and the brisket was delicious! Especially good place if you like too-loud country music on the large patio (I dont.)

Best brisket I've had. Sausage was also very good. Be prepared to wait. Line is long and barely moves.

I've lived in Raleigh for almost a year now and haven't had BBQ yet (i'm a disgrace), so I figured my long-awaited NC BBQ experience needed to be a great one. I did some research and this spot in Knightdale, Prime BBQ, had some of the best ratings in the area. Let me tell you, it lived up to all the rave reviews. The brisket had the best smoky flavor and was not too fatty like a lot of brisket is. The pork ribs fell right off the bone. The pulled pork was so juicy and flavorful. Baked beans were on POINT and the green beans were alright - nothing to rave about. I also loved their BBQ sauce - it was almost a blend between a sweet, thick BBQ sauce and a vinegar-based one. NOTE get there early if you want any of their daily specials! We showed up at 3:30pm on a Friday and they were unfortunately sold out of their burnt ends (which people praise online). *3 Meats Plate (comes with/ 2 sides): Brisket, Pork Ribs, Pulled Pork; Sides of Big Boss Beans & Green Beans [NOTE: pictured cornbread muffin is homemade by muah ]

Best ever all the time. I have eaten here about weekly since it opened 4 years ago and the food is absolutely delicious and consistent every time! The staff is amazing and the venue was custom designed by the owner and he is very intentional about his brand and his interactions with visitors. There will likely be a line. Plan on it and meet some new friends and will be back again and again!

Great BBQ! Texas style with bbq sauce that is amazing. Each day menu changes from brisket, smoked turkey, sausage and pulled pork. It's hard to be disappointed here. Pricing is high but service is great. Nice and clean and portions are more than adequate. We tend to get the 3 meats platter, 2-3 can eat that. My only wish is longer hours and more time open for those that work remotely or want an option for dinner. They close at 4pm.
