We just celebrated our wedding anniversary here and the entire dinner experience was top notch! The food was absolutely delicious. Our server, Monica, took excellent care throughout our dinner and gave us the best recommendations. We will definitely be back!

We stayed away for a while because we thought it was too expensive, but then they instituted Pasta Wednesdays. Twenty dollar pasta dishes with house wine for $5.50 a glass-… totally worth it! The Chicken Florentino was just as good Pasta Primavera I had last time. My husband’s go-to is the Chicken Parmigiana, and he says it’s one of his favorites.
Service was great.We had the same waiter, Parsh, both times. He was friendly, attentive, and made the experience easy and enjoyable.

One of the best brunches we have ever had and we have been to 5 star hotels in US and Europe. A rare gem where you would least expect it. Well worth the trip wherever you are in Raleigh Meto Area. Love the quality with lack of pretension!

Since it was Mother’s Day, I wanted to take my mom for a new experience. I had only been to The Depot on First once for dinner and it was delicious then so this was a great time to try brunch. Unfortunately we did not have reservations, but you all found a way to fit us in, and it did not disappoint! We were supposed to come in 2024 but my mom was ill and we could not go. So this was perfect. Thank you for an amazing time! I will definitely be back!

My husband, daughter and I made Valentine’s reservations for dinner. Apart from the disorganization, the under-staffing, the over an hour wait time for our meals and the inedibly cold steaks that were served…I’m most disappointed and disgusted with the way management and more specifically, the owner, Christopher, treated my husband and our server whose name I failed to get.
When we finally received our meals, the meats were cold to the touch, and the shrimp that I ordered was failed to have been brought out at all. We told our server we are unable to eat our meals and we would like to pay for the food and drinks we did consume and be on our way. Our server (who was clearly over seated and stressed) returned and told us the owner said we would be paying for everything and to give us our ticket as is. Why didn’t the owner come to our table and speak to us directly? Why was nothing done to let us know our disappointment was heard and understood?
We were taken aback and my husband asked to speak to the owner himself. The owner did not come to our table, my husband had to get up and walk to him. All the owner said to him was, “You ordered the food, you aren’t leaving until you pay for it.” Absolutely no apology or remorse for the terrible evening they gave us.
We paid $300+ for 2 cocktails, 2 cups of soup and a side Caesar salad because our main dishes were unsafe to consume and were given the worst customer service I have ever had in my life.
My apologies to our server and the hosting staff; who despite terrible leadership, did their best.

First time dining at the Depot and it did not disappoint! I cannot say enough great things about the service, the atmosphere and the food. It was all top notch. Our server, James was fantastic. He was very attentive, always checking on us (and making sure the kids had what they needed) and very knowledgeable about the menu. The beet salad was 10/10! We are already looking forward to going back!

After much anticipation and excitement, we recently had dinner at Depot on First. The food we ordered was very good and we were impressed with their extensive bourbon offerings.
I do believe they are going through growing pains, though. We had a reservation in one of the rooms, but when we arrived we were told we had to sit at the bar if we planned to have dinner, as a large party had taken the space where we were supposed to be seated. No other option was given. After I told the host (male, 20s) that the bar was not acceptable as we had driven a distance to dine with them, a hostess approached us and told us that a table in the main area would be available in about 30 minutes, and that we could either wait in the foyer area or at the bar. She was more pleasant than the other host and also offered an apology for the inconvenience.
While sitting at the bar, a few drink options were sold out. After waiting over an hour, we were seated at our table. Unfortunately, the chicken entree that I really wanted was sold out, along with another entree. My excitement turned to disappointment.
I must say the server was extremely pleasant and we tipped her well above 20%. Since we enjoyed the food and the atmosphere, we will be going again - but we will wait several months before returning to give them time to work out the kinks. The 4 stars represent our overall experience.

What a wonderful place to have a Christmas brunch! Food and service was fantastic. Decor was stunning. Everything was delicious, from the bourbon beef, Cajun lemon shrimp, bang bang salmon, eggs, sausage, bacon, to the fresh fruit, danishes and frosted brownies. The 35 minute drive from home was worth every bite. Meeting Chef Kevin & manager Steve, and our server Bryanna-was a pleasure. Highly recommend the Depot for an outstanding culinary experience!
