Parking: If you go to park I recommend no matter how hot it is DO NOT park in the shade…You will return to your car with mosquitoes EVERYWHERE.My friends and I STILL have bug bites!
Kid-friendliness: The water was a big risk if a kid ran down there they may of may not get eaten by a Alligators.But…the kids can have many different pallets of food choices and i would say if you went there keep your kids on a leash.One guy said his name was Jeff and he was very welcoming to my sisters kids!

We just had our wedding here & this venue for a wedding off of in season was perfection.
Amy was simply the best & helped us the whole way through.
Our wedding was small but this was perfect.
If you are looking for the best sunset & great service this is the place.

Limited yet delicious menu. Smaller portions yet just the right amount of food! No leftovers, oh well! 😉 You order when you walk in, so no table service and you bus your own tables, so 4 stars on service. Great views of the river and sunsets, low key vibe and lots of drink options including root beer on tap.
The sides were just okay, nothing special, not bad, just kind of bland. Not offending anyone just not a reason to go back.
Parking: Plenty of spots but overflow parking is around the camping area
Kid-friendliness: They have high chairs and a deck and screened porch seating area, that is very kid friendly.

I have been having so much trouble finding a safe place in wilmington. This was the first place that I experienced that is almost exclusively Celiac friendly. They have a dedicated fryer so you can even have their fried food which is absolutely amazing. I can't tell you the last time that I had fried food to be able to have this in a Safeway where I knew I wouldn't get sick was amazing. All the food was great and I would 100% come back here again. I wish they had the fried oysters available.

First time there this past week. My husband and I are not a fan of fried food so we ordered the mahi tacos. They were very good however most of the sides were NOT. The rice and beans were ok, the tomato and cucumbers salad was not. I ended up spitting it out in a napkin. I think my tomato was rotten, very spoiled sour taste. The coleslaw was pathetic. It was totally white soaked into too much mayo. It just seemed like it came from a cheap deli. It needs color, some GREEN, red cabbage and some carrots pieces. Please do something about that coleslaw!! The view was nice, great for sunsets. I doubt we will be back.

We visited there in August and I needed to find gluten free options. The place was adorable with indoor and outdoor seating at picnic tables. We ate fried flounder and shrimp that was breaded with corn meal (gluten free, celiac friendly) They both were amazing!
The scenery was beautiful overlooking the river and the sunset was gorgeous!

How did I not know about this place? Had really good fried shrimp, krinkle fries and tomato/cuke salad on the banks of the Cape Fear River today!! Sad that they are seasonal and close the end of October but we will be back before then and as soon as they reopen next season!! Really neat place!!!

We stayed at the Ocean Dunes Condos and walked two evenings to the restaurant. SUPER laid back atmosphere. We had good food, good margaritas, great chocolate sundae and the wonderful sunset.

We had high expectations for this place. The best thing was the view. My husband's oyster plate was pitiful....he got maybe 5 tiny oysters that were mostly breading. He complained, and they did make him some more, but still disappointing. I will say my pot roast po boy was good and flavorful. Both baskets were served with a TON of fries. I wish they had a few more options for non seafood eaters. I'm not sure we will return.
