Tapas Restaurants in Lake Lure, NC

“When we walked into Canoe Kitchen and Bar we were welcomed with a warm, softly illuminated atmosphere with rich decor that made us feel very cozy. It has the feeling of a place where you just want to kick back and have good conversation during and after eating.

The drinks (we had the Dragon Fruit Margarita and Blueberry Old Fashion) were exceptional and almost caused me to stop everything right then and there to leave a review. I can't wait to come back and try their other cocktails.

We ended up starting with the tostones which were topped with a smooth avocado spread, cherry tomatoes, and feta cheese which complemented each other deliciously. My main dish was the filet mignon covered in chimichurri and a side of mashed potatoes. Everything was bursting with flavor. The side salad paired perfectly with it and had a mix of feta, berries, and other fixings topped with tangy dressing.

We ended things with a tres leches for desert that was as flavorful as everything else. It was soaked with deliciousness.

We highly recommend this place and will keep it in our regular rotation.

Edit: we also ended up grabbing a pizza to go for later which was also delicious!“
