After years of good food, drink, and great views, Midway closed on 10/3/2019. No explanation given, but development is likely. Would have been nice to have one last breakfast there to say good bye.

Heads up! I came into town to visit some friends and they said this place was the bomb! Great prices, service and great food. Unfortunately, the landlord sold the property and Midway Boathouse is no more :(

Great atmosphere you'd expect from a lakeside restaurant! Staff was super busy, but still friendly and still managed a smile! The food was delicious and prices were very reasonable! Looking forward to going back next time I'm in town!

Line at the door a half hour before they even opened was very promising. The omelette and grits were both cooked perfectly. I never went thirsty and had more than enough to eat. The bathroom sign is pretty awesome and the atmosphere is great! Highly recommend but get there early as the line will be out the door during any peak meal times.

I think we were yelled at by three employees even before we were sat to eat. However, our server was awesome. The food came out quickly and just as we ordered.

My husband and I walked in for breakfast on Sunday, I have my Yeti cup filled with water since it is Sunday AM, the lady YELLS... MAAM! U AIN'T ALLOWED TO HAVE THAT IN HEAR, as if I'd just brought a shotgun through the door!!! Seriously? We then sit at the bar where there are 3 open seats, after. Few minutes, they come and take the old dishes, give us menus, and THEN, the lady rudely..YELLS, ... WAIT THERE'S A WAITIN LIST TO SIT AT THE BAR! When we've never waited for the bar! So we leave! I don't care how good any restaurant's food is, if Service is RUDE, they'll go down! Glad you guys are closing! You take customers for granted!

We took our boat with friends to the Midway Boathouse Grill this past week for breakfast. Excellent!! We had everything from pork chop, different style eggs, omelet, to french toast and everything was outstanding! We will definitely be going back again soon!

Oh my 😠I'm a tourist visiting to fish Lake Norman & this place won't let you down. Everything we tried was amazing. Their daily special is affordable, great portions. You will not be disappointed. Mahi is delicious. They also have tacos & shrimp. Do not pass on the home made tarter sauce!! 😋

I have always enjoyed eating at the boathouse. However, I greatly enjoyed my latest meal. My hat off to the staff. Early this summer I had a group of 9 out on the lake all morning and we started having boat trouble. We made it into the dock and up to the restaurant at about 10 to 3. Unbeknown to us they have been having issues maintaining a second shift and were scheduled to close at 3. When we walked in the staff were happy to serve us with the only request of placing our order quickly so the cook could make his next job on time. The meal was great. Stop in and enjoy. Just go before 2:30.

This is a 100% perfect lakeside country dinner. From the decor and service to the beautiful view I have never had a bad experience here. I have only ever been for breakfast though so this doesn't include their "night scene."
