Great local beer and sandwiches that I don’t think I can re-create. Cool atmosphere, awesome service with great conversations. Highly recommend this place and it’s so close to the Grayson Highlands State Park.

Great little sandwich shop! I love that they put their own spin on the sandwiches they serve. I highly recommend the Gobblin Gouda. Service was great. Super nice folks that work there. Definitely worth a stop!

The food was really good. You pretty much wait on yourself, which isn't bad - I'm used to it.

Best Chili and best grilled cheese I've had in a long long time. Those three cheeses are doing the lord's work.

What a cool sandwich shop/pub. I decided to try something I would not normally try. I tried the Hot Mess sandwich. Yummy ?. Turkey, pickled onions, jalapeños, avocados, potato chips, and a sliver of mayo with pepper. It was served with a hot chili to dip in or put on top. Crazy, but delicious!!!! My husband and son both had the Maverick; one on gluten-free bread. They both loved them. The Liar's Bench really knows how to serve up great sandwiches alongside their great service!!!Dietary restrictions: My son doesn't eat wheat, but that was no worry. They had gluten-free bread.

Food was good. But a little expensive.

It is not often that a meal is an absolute perfect combination of textures and tastes, but the lunch we had on our first visit to The Liar's Bench in Lansing scored on every account. To our surprise, the "Maverick," with "Deviled Stair Eggs," tasty crisp pickle and good chips was a finely-tuned symphony of flavor. The meal was completely awesome. What more can be said other than, "We'll be back." Thank you!

We enjoyed our lunch at The Liar’s Bench so much that we came back again and again!! Ian is fantastic behind the bar, grill, or cash register? . The menu is outstanding from the Gobblin’ Gouda turkey sandwich to the Kimchi Dog to the Deviled Stairs Eggs to everything on the menu!! The craft beers and selection of wine top off the experience!! Don’t miss this gem of a place in Lansing, NC!!

This is the best place! Small town place but great food and amazing staff. My favorite is the Gobblin Gouda sandwich and the chef salad. They usually have live music over the weekend which is also great. GO! You won't be disappointed.

We ordered sandwiches. It took us 45 min for the first 2 sandwiches to come out and another 10 minutes to get the BLT. We didn't realize the sandwiches didn't come with chips and asked to buy 2 bags. The girl said she had to ask someone, and a man came out quite a while later to ask us if we wanted to buy chips. Since we had finished our meal by then we declined. It seemed like there was only one person taking orders, at the cash register and cooking.Anyway, the food was very good. They have a bar there with a couple of tables and a long bar table at the front window so you can sit and watch out over the park and river. Might give it another try.
