Have always loved the food here!!! I can no longer eat salads but their steak salad is absolutely delicious!!!! Got the big tex sandwich this time and it was also delicious!!! I'm local so I have never stayed in the hotel.Food & drinks: They have the best food!!! I have never had a bad dish here!!! The steak salad is to die for!!!

Took hour and half to get the special of the night hamburger steak. Once food came it was good but hour and half too long. People who came in after us was getting food, waitress stated that cook didn't want to make my hamburger steak when he was suppose to. Need new cook or some training. Orders should come out in the order they came in. I shouldn't have to wait that long on the special of the night.

I stopped at Freeborne’s as part of a ladies hiking weekend. We stayed at the lodge and ate dinner at the restaurant.The people who work here are simply the best!!! We were welcomed and made to feel right at home the minute we arrived. One of the ladies in our group fell in the parking lot and the staff (especially Diane) went above and beyond to look out after us and ensure our friend was OK. I have never met such caring people in my travels. The wonderful staff at Freeborne’s is reason enough to visit.The lodge was nostalgic — with knotty pine walls and decor. It was clean and well-maintained. It was perfect after a long day of hiking and a tent the night before.The restaurant was very comfortable and casual with absolutely delicious food. We took our servers recommendations and all had an amazing dinner (hamburger steak, potatoes, Mac and cheese, zuchinni, chili, to name a few).
We got the house chips and dressing appetizer,they were great ! Service was good and friendly ! Been here many times and never been disappointed.Food & drinks: Great food and great drinks / bar !

We were riding by and smelt something delicious. We stopped by and was extremely impressed with the Food. We had the cheeseburger and the Big Tex sandwich and OMG they were amazing. All I can say is when you take a bite of a sandwich you have a Heavenly experience, that is what you get here. Diane was outstanding server, couldn’t have asked for a better experience at Freebornes.
