“I stopped at Freeborne’s as part of a ladies hiking weekend. We stayed at the lodge and ate dinner at the restaurant. The people who work here are simply the best!!! We were welcomed and made to feel right at home the minute we arrived. One of the ladies in our group fell in the parking lot and the staff (especially Diane) went above and beyond to look out after us and ensure our friend was OK. I have never met such caring people in my travels. The wonderful staff at Freeborne’s is reason enough to visit. The lodge was nostalgic — with knotty pine walls and decor. It was clean and well-maintained. It was perfect after a long day of hiking and a tent the night before. The restaurant was very comfortable and casual with absolutely delicious food. We took our servers recommendations and all had an amazing dinner (hamburger steak, potatoes, Mac and cheese, zuchinni, chili, to name a few).”
“A must stop in Sparta! Railyard Pilsner is so good, one of my favorite beers! All of the beer we’ve tried has been of high quality. Laconia is pet friendly, kids are fine just bring something for them to do. We really enjoy visiting when we come to town.”
“They don't serve Food, except danish, Cinnamon Rolls, Scones. Just finger foods and drinks. The people are so friendly and make you feel at home.Dietary restrictions: They offer low-fat milk and sugar-free coffee for diabetics. They don't serve vegetables and food like that it's only little finger foods like something for brunch a cake a cinnamon roll a muffin and delicious coffee”
“Been here twice and the food is excellent. I tried the tomato pudding and it was very tasty. Our waitress was very nice and friendly. She did a great job. Hope to be back ”
“My husband and I just happen to stumble across this coffee shop. Wow, the coffee was delicious and the pastries were amazing! We highly recommend this place and will be back to try out their brunch.”
“Best breakfast on the parkway. Best prices anywhere in the state, but be prepared to wait a little while.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Flat parking lot easy to get inside”
“I ate there Friday and had some very good spaghetti, made by my sister. We had a very good waitress too. She was so nice and took really good care of us. They also have really good pies, also made by my sister Connie.Parking: The handicap parking is a joke. There are 2 spaces, hard to get in and out of safely.”
“I can’t afford to eat out a lot, but when I do JB’s is one of my go to places. The food and friendliness of service is superb and prices are reasonable! Well worth every cent spent. When you’re full, but the food was so good it leaves you wanting more put it that way!”
“Passed by today on our way home from Virginia and stopped at the first restaurant that popped up on maps. Sunday brunch was fantastic! Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious. The service was great and our waitress was the sweetest. Will definitely be by again!”
“Awesome waitress, food and an employee even jumped our car since we accidentally left the lights on. They go the extra mile. We WILL be back and highly recommend eating at Mountain Aire Seafood and Steaks!!”
