Now when I go to eat, I don’t wanna be sitting there with a screaming year-old next to me so I do understand that. It’s not the point that my grandson was screaming. It’s the point that the owner or whoever was behind the register was so freaking rude. My grandson scream and the man behind the register scream. Yoooo, very loudly in front of everybody. the second time he screamed though he comes over very loudly if he screams like that one more time you’re gonna have to leave. well guess he did free one more time and he comes over to our table very loudly. You’ll have to leave. I’m gonna pack up your food. he packed up our food. We went out front and ate it.”

“We took a road trip on the Blue Ridge parkway. We found this place and figured we would try it for lunch. Let me say how impressed my wife and I both were with the delicious burgers we got. The staff were so courteous. We were greeted with smiles. We cant wait to go back just to be in wonderful company and try out the dinner menu next.”

“We had Monte D Rey fix the food for a Taco Bar at our son's wedding for 150 people. They did a fantastic job on the portions and the quality was excellent. Guest were bragging on the taste all night. Could not have picked a better meal plan or restaurant. A BIG THANKS to Oscar and his team.....”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is one of our favorite local spots. Laid-back, fun, and good vibes. Great service, plenty of TVs for sports. The food is solid every time. We’ve had the French dip multiple times (so good + that bread) wings, steak & cheese, and the buffalo chicken salad. One of our favorite appetizers is the boiled peanut bucket, and bonus points because the peanuts are seasoned and flavorful, not bland like you get in a lot of places. Hands down the best restaurant around West Jefferson.”

“Had a mix up and order was really late. Talked to waitress and my gosh they went above and beyond to make things right. Free order of wings and a gift card . Food was amazing . Hands down best burgers in town . Staff goes above and beyond to make your experience special. Highly recommend and my new go to place in west Jefferson. And the wings are really good.”

“We have been here a few times and our service and the food have always been phenomenal! This evening we stopped in at 730 knowing they close at 8. I asked them if they wanted me to get our order to go since there was 6 of us. They did not turn us away even though it was 30 minutes before they closed. They did not rush us and as always our food was perfection and the service was great. Oshu house will always have my business when I am craving Chinese. only thing that could make it better is Sushi and Lo-mein type dinner. You all are so great at cooking and customer service! Thank you for treating my family nicely even though I am sure you all were ready to close down and go home. Side note: we had all of our food and a to go order in 20 minutes! Just AMAZING plus your Seaweed Salad is beyond the best I have ever had!”

Recently stopped back by to check things out again, and I’m seriously impressed with how much they’ve grown. They’ve added a ton of new stuff—from board games and D&D supplies to Warhammer, trading cards, and even some arcade machines. There’s always something new to see, do, and experience, and it’s honestly just fun to hang out there now.

I had a great conversation about the new Magic: The Gathering Spider-Man collection, and it’s clear the folks here really know their stuff. The whole place feels more alive than ever. Kitchen Table Games has truly stepped up their game, and it’s exactly the kind of local spot this town needs.”

“We started with the fried mushrooms and they were DELICIOUS. We had the pot roast with mashed potatoes and brown gravy as our main course. Our sides were collards and fried okra and I felt like I was eating my mother’s Sunday lunch—and she was a WONDERFUL cook. The portions were HUGE and my husband and I shared the roast dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant and especially this meal.”

“The service was impeccable! Our waitress was friendly and polite! We ordered the crab rangoons for an appetizer and they were the best I have eaten! My cousin had the sweet and sour chicken, fried rice and egg roll, she said the fried rice was the best she had ever tasted! I had the cashew chicken, fried rice and egg roll, and it was all delicious!”
