Good BBQ. Chopped and my favorite pulled. And the sauce is the best. I buy it by the bottle. It's a buffet and on the expensive side especially if you add tea. Good country home food cooking. You can also get take out which they charge by the pound as most buffets do. On Sundays they usually have home made dressing that is pretty close to the way my Mom made it.
Laurinburg has more than a few buffets to choose from, but only 1 serves genuine Carolina BBQ everyday, and that's General McArthur's. They are known for their BBQ and with good reason. We've gone a few times over the years and the food is always good. Fair warning: it's a Southern buffet, so that means fried and fatty. That's not to say it isn't delicious. It's a drive-through service now. The food is good. The barbecue was ok. It was not as tasty as it was years ago. The butter beans, cornbread fritter, fried chicken, and corn were delicious. People are friendly.
