love Burneys! The best offerings seem to be in Southport. I've been to Mayfaire & Leland locations. Offerings are delicious; inventory can get really low, staff will offer to make up what u want if they still have croissants. As far as Atmosphere, they are a walk-in & leave business, locations are well lit & clean, service has been good at all of the locations.

Outrageously pricey, most expensive Burney’s in town. Negligent, condescending owner who does not care for the store. I bought raw croissants from this location and when I asked the nice young lady why they were raw, she was honest and confessed that there is no oven on site, rather they get their croissants delivered from the owner’s main location in Wilmington. As a bakery, why are you serving raw, doughy croissants to the public! I hope the owner receives a wakeup call and starts making changes to his Leland store. Unacceptable.

Burney's has some very good and sweet pastries. The service is always mediocre. That's one of the reasons why I don't go that often, besides all that sugar. You can't eat that everyday.

Went around noon to order a pie for special occasion. Decided to buy couple pastries. Very poor selection. Freshness questionable. Pricey. Pie I picked up foe later that week was good but not fabulous for $16.

On Dec 17, I went in and placed and paid for an order for pick up on Dec 24 at noon. The order was for a dozen cannoli and a dozen croissants. I selected the flavors for the dozen croissants. When I went to pick up, nothing had been pulled, and some of the croissants I had selected were sold out! So no point in ordering or prepaying, if you want something specific, just go early. Really disappointed in the customer service!
