Cookout is one of my favorite places to get a good cheap burger but the Leland location has not gotten my order right one time since it opened. Staff just doesnt seem to care. I cant seem to get a large Cajun fry ever. Its either a large regular fry or a smaller than my wife and kids regular fry with a tiny little bit of seasoning. Today the jalapenos were not even in my burger at all but on top of the bun and my large fry wouldnt have satisfied a toddler. I was happy to have this location open up and figured there would be a grace period where it would get decent staff but we are sticking with Hwy 55 from now on. They have standards with their employees, food, and restaurant, and are consistent across the franchise even if its an Andy's location.

For all the times my family and I have come here, we have never had an issue. Food is good, the actual restaurant is what it is, but Brigham inspired me to write a quick review. We've always enjoyed the folks that waited on us, but he was exceptional.

Waited like 20 mins for a shake. The shake is the best around. But way too long. They spaced out on our order. Put a photo of some woman with pot leafs all over it. She probably got the staff a buzz, because they forgot our shake. 😂

My wife and I stopped in yesterday because we both wanted hot dogs and were next door. The girl at the counter was rude right out the gate. Granted, she did take our order correct, but brought it over in 2 stages. After my wife called it out, the girl went and got the second half. Apparently, that was too much to carry, and the girl dropped the shake on the floor. After waiting over 5 minutes, literally, my wife went and asked about it. The girl went around the corner and grabbed it. The girl was more worried about talking to a coworker about paychecks. The lead/manager seemed more concerned about what he was doing than anything else. This place has gone downhill since they first opened

I’m a regular at this cookout since I work next door but tonight is crazy. The gentlemen working (I went around 1:15am) seemed like he hated his job, maybe he was just tired. The food was alright. Got a char grilled chicken tray, white cheddar cheese bites, and a corn dog. The corn dog was almost black but it’s fine cause I like those a little more toasty, cheddar bites were scarce but good and the sandwich was good. I also ordered a slice of cheesecake and was shocked to open the box. It looks like the crust was picked off of it? I’m confused cause when I’ve gotten it in the past, it’s been great. This piece just looks sad…. Honesty, after today I’m not sure if I’ll be returning. I haven’t had too many bad experiences but if it’s becoming more regular it’s easier to just grab something else. It’s unfortunate because I do love cookout after work but I don’t want to feel the need to look in my bag every time and complain.

I have lived all over North Carolina and Cookout has always been a favorite! Our location here in Leland is exemplary!!! William and his crew do a fantastic job! Not only are the food and shakes a step above the other similar fast food stops, they are always pleasant and strive to get your order to you as soon as possible! I highly recommend our Cookout in Leland!!!
