I have never left a review in my life but I just left this place and got 1 slice of cheese. This was the worst pizza I have ever had in my life. The cheese taste old everything about the pizza was terrible. First bite I took I spite out. Take the extra drive in town he’ll u better off eating little caesars and that says a lot.
Delicious food, awesome staff; 11/10-what more is there to say?

Pizza was good and crispy. Good flavor. Place is very small. Really designed as a carry-out. Also, not many pizza selections.

I was born in Long Island, New York, and moved to Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 12. Recently, I was hired to paint the windows for the holidays, and that job brought me to Gandolfo’s for the very first time. I met the owners, and right away it was an amazing experience.
The moment I walked through the door, I was hit with this wave of nostalgia. The aroma, the décor—everything instantly transported me back to my childhood. I had to ask where the owner was from, and when he said “Long Island,” I couldn’t believe it. Not because Long Islanders are rare down here—trust me, the Carolinas are full of us—but because something about that place had already pulled me home before he even said it.
After I finished the job, I ordered a cheese pizza—because if you know, you know. That’s how you test a real Italian spot. The sauce, the cheese, the crust… it all starts with the basics. I ordered it to go and tried to wait until I got home, but the Long Island kid in me just couldn’t. I opened the box, pulled out this magical slice with that perfect slight fold, took one bite—and I’m not kidding—tears started running down my face. It felt like I was right back on Long Island grabbing my usual slices from my favorite hometown pizzeria.
I know this might be a long-winded review, but I’m a true pizza connoisseur, and I have never been blown away like this. I’ve had places that came close, but this… this is the best pizza I’ve had since moving south. Honestly, it might be the best pizza I’ve ever had.

The restaurant is very nice. A nice little sit in restaurant with tables out front.
Amy is very nice and respectful too.
The only issue I have is they never get our order right. We’d order a plain cheese and get a sausage and cheese pizza. We’d get hoagies with not all the toppings. Stuff like that. A pretty decent place though

This has been an awesome little addition to the top of Leland for the past few years. Best pizza in the three county (New Hanover, Brunswick and Pender) region, by far! You should get some for dinner tonight, you'll be happy with yourself...

My issue with Gondolfo’s is their inconsistency with food prep. Had a fabulous calzone and stromboli a couple of weeks ago. Ordered exact same food today and we barely ate it. Crust was very tough, the cheese in the calzone was rubbery and didn’t blend in with the ricotta, and no seasoning in the ricotta this time. It was bland. We paid $26 plus left a tip in the tip jar for a big disappointment.

Amazing food and good service. This was me and my wife’s first time going there and we were not disappointed. I will definitely recommend this establishment to our families and friends.

Slow clap… this tastes just like the pizza back home in Brooklyn. Gives me the vibes or growing up and going to the same local shop once a week every week or grabbing a slice in the way back home from school. Keep doing what you guys are doing

Normally love this place. Tonights pizza was all crust. Better check the boxes before you leave.

I don’t usually leave reviews—I just don’t go back—but this was horrible. I ordered take-out chicken parm, and it was so bad I had to throw it out. The sauce tasted like it was not cooked and was full of large chunks of raw garlic, so every bite was overpowering. The chicken looked like slices of frozen chicken, not even breaded, and definitely not what I’d expect from chicken parm. Hands down, this was the worst chicken parm I’ve ever had, and possibly the worst meal overall. I’m glad they finally got rid of the dirty table clothes and this time I didn’t see any flies on the pizza. Will never go back- disgusting!
