Leland Smoke House

My friend and I went Friday to give another try after the past few times my brisket sandwich/ plates were dry. So again sad the Mac n cheese and banana pudding were better then the brisket. This time it was dry and had hard bits in it and BBQ sauce couldn't even save it. Sad don't know if we will try again. The one in Southport is getting the same way as well. guess we will just start going back to mission barbecue.

I stopped at Leland Smokehouse Fri 9/12/25 @ 7:30 PM and likely won’t return. I waited 5-10 min at an empty “take out” counter, before I even saw my first employee. I ordered a $30.00, 3 meat plate w/3 sides, before finding out only pork was available. I added 2 extra sides & waited outside for my order. I was not asked what sauces or condiments I wanted for the pork & incorrectly assumed it was because a variety would be in the bag. I arrived home with dry pork, zero sauce, no receipt, no rolls/bread and missing a side. The potato salad & banana pudding were amazing. Coleslaw & Mac & cheese were fine. Total bill came to $46.00 for a 3 meat plate + 2 small sides.

I wasn't impressed with the food. It may have just been one bad experience but there are too many other places to try

Leland smoke house is solid. I think I prefer Southport smokehouse. Nice interior with plenty of seating. Service was ok.

First time here and tried the 3 meat plate with brisket, sausage and pulled pork with Buffalo chips and Mac n cheese. Brisket and pork were ok- not enough smoke on brisket and it was a bit dry. Sausage had a good snap but lacked flavor. We got the original because they did not have the spicy at the time. Mac n cheese was good. The Buffalo chips have potential. It would be nice to add maybe a queso dipping sauce with the chips. Overall it was OK.

I feel bad i made my date pay for this. I was all excited anddddd ..... man its dry. The meat. the atmosphere. the people.... 0 bananas or wafers in my pudding but a ton in his and my pulled pork was great but his brisket looked like it was left out all day in the sun. they're out of chicken wings.... maybe we should've gotten that. Just stay home and cook. save $45+ and your tip. or save up and go somewhere where you actually get what you pay for and or have decent customer service. 1 star 🌟 do not recommend

We went in at 2pm on a Monday. It seemed to be a really slow day for them as there was only one other table seated. I overheard a worker say it was a slow day as well. Someone was preparring an order for take-out and then helped us place our order so it did take a few minutes upon initial arrival but they had our order out before we were done filling up our drink cups.

I ordered the brisket plate with baked beans and banana pudding.

My husband ordered the pulled pork sandwich and fried okra.

They had several sauces to choose from which were all delicious.

Everything we ate was so flavorful! My husband doesn't even like brisket usually but he took 2 pieces from my plate.

Places like this usually have good meat or good sides but this place was great in both areas. No complaints whatsoever.

On top of it all, they were playing Christian music throughout the restaurant which made me feel at home. I will definitely come back, and recommend you all do too!+◇

We visited friends who live nearby. The food was good and very warm.
The service was good. Nothing to write home about - I like was glass filled.
We might go again but will look to see if there is another restaurant.

On our way home to SC from the beach. Saw the Leland BBQ sign so we stopped in. Oh my gosh. How fabulous! We've eaten various types of BBQ in our lives. This was the best ever! Seriously. Perfect. Sides were great too! Thank you for the great service as well!
