Finally tried this place about a year ago and we've been going back almost once a week since! The food is Amazing there's truely something for everyone delicious smoked meats, hearty stews, fresh seasonal salads, even burgers and hot dogs for the kids. That you come as a stranger leave as family slogan ain't a joke either. The girls that wait the tables remember our family and even our drink preferences, Bridgett's running the register and giving the kids lolly pops and Mr. Dale comes around to check on our food and make sure everybody's having a good day. In a town full of BBQ Bridgett's truley stands out for all the right reasons.

My husband and I finally tried Bridgett’s Kitchen yesterday for supper and it was very good. We had hesitated to go just because I’m not a big fan of BBQ. There’s so much more than bbq on the menu which was great. I had the hamburger steak with grilled onions and mushrooms, creamed potatoes and salad. It was very good. My hubby had the smoked meatloaf, baked beans and mac and cheese, again very good! Bridgette and her husband were very friendly, as well as the staff, checking on their customers in a family like atmosphere. We look forward to checking out the upcoming fall menu and plan to go back again soon.

The best service I have ever had in my life! Our drinks never got half empty! Refills and asking if we needed anything constantly! And the owner was so friendly as we're the waitresses! We were so full we couldn't eat dessert but one waitress said let me bring you a little bite! Delicious! Fast! Attentive! Friendly! Definitely going back!

The mac and cheese not that great for me.

The BBq sauce not what we are accustomed to...tastes like tomato paste and maybe cumin or some kind of Mexican spice...

But the brisket wow, amazing!

Tonight I drove home crying because of the girl running the drive-thru this evening. Short curly hair and glasses. I am a regular at this restaurant and honestly I always loved it. But tonight, they charged me $48 and forgot three of my sides that I ordered for my children. I didn’t think anything of it at first, I simply drove back around and went back to the drive thru window and told her that I was missing two orders of Mac n cheese and an order of fries. She said she would be right back and left me sitting at the window for awhile. When she came back, she asked me if I was sure it was in the bag and that I didn’t take it out? Insinuating that I was trying to steal or get free food!!! I am a mom of three that works my butt off to provide for my family and I’m sitting here paying almost $50 for food that’s missing things all just to be accused of lying? I told her that she could have my bag of food back to prove that those sides weren’t in there. She actually took the bag of food back inside and didn’t come back to the window for an additional seemingly long amount of time. Which was very suspicious to me and my oldest son. I always thought so highly of this place but after the way I was treated over Mac n cheese and fries is appalling. She gave me the ugliest looks too!!! As if me asking for the missing items I PAID for was inconveniencing her. If Bridgett hires people like this to work there then I’ll no longer be a returning customer. I refuse to be treated I’m a lying, stealing, inconvenience. She went and got who I’m assuming was the manager and at this point my food is cold and I’m almost in tears. The manager asked me how she could help me today. Well for starters, maybe stop making an incredibly embarrassing big deal over our missing sides and just give us what we paid for? She would not tell me the name of the girl that accused me of lying so that I could mention her in this review. But she refunded me. Regardless, I doubt I’ll return. I’m sure it doesn’t make a difference to the owners one way or another. Don’t use the take out service or drive thru window. I would suggest eating inside so you don’t get accused of stealing food like I did. We ended up going to cookout because my son was scared that they did something to our food after they took our bag of food back inside and left us waiting at the drive thru window wondering what was going on. I no longer recommend this place.

Bridgett's Kitchen has some of the best food in Lexington. She offers a variety of smoked meats and home cooked vegetables along with awesome burgers and sandwiches. The pork barbecue is excellent, the ribs are on point, and now that I've ordered the beef brisket I can't seem to order anything else. Sadly, I can't see to eat it through the tears of joy in my eyes. BBQ chicken on Fridays. Haven't had it, but need to/going to get it. To satisfy both Western and Eastern North Carolinans, Bridgett offers both white and red slaw. Fried okra is cooked perfectly, the hush puppies are just the right size and tenderness, and she offers the best collard greens I've ever had.
