I came here because I was recommended my friend, and when I got here the environment was wonderful, They had a little record player radio real soul music a beautiful unique quiet little hole in the wall. I got the Grilled salmon fillet I had a choice between teriyaki or gravy (I chose teriyaki) over home style grits. The Salmon Was cooked Perfectly !! I had a side of collard greens a yummy sweet roll and Mac and cheese which was so rich and creamy the most delicate tasting cooked to perfection just like my mommas and I come from a family of chefs who cultured me in food my whole life from different Hispanic cultures, Greek, Asian Foods and other cultures cooking them again and again to taste just like there home cultures. Overall I am very impressed with the cooks and staff at Jjs Mamas. The Desert I choose was DJS Cheesecakes Cherry yum yum Cheesecake which I was also very impressed with the cherries soo yummy and the cheesecake very delectable indeed, sweet and creamy I can’t wait to come back for more tomorrow for the shrimp and grits and more cheese cake!!

This is the spot! My family and I love the food here. It is absolutely delicious & the owner is very pleasant, friendly and genuine. She has a good staff as well, very attentive and nice. I will continue to support.

We went to the buffet on Sunday everything was great we had to wait for a couple things because it was rotating customer service is wonderful banana pudding what's the bomb.com macaroni was on point for $30 it was a good deal they had oxtail pork ribs beef ribs collard greens are on fire yams are so good and I don't even yam definitely my new go to restaurants 💯

Pleased with everything it was too SALTY could not eat my collards nor mac n cheese too SALTY

Only issue is that on Saturday when you have people coming from out of town because of social media you shouldn't close for lunch that is not a good practice

Everything was great just tightened up on some management so it can run smoothly also see if you can get some mashed potatoes on that menu thank you

My mom took me here and it is the Best soul food I have ever had. I had smothered turkey wings with cabbage/collards greens mix and Mac and cheese. I also had corn bread it was amazing. My husband had 3 wing plate with Mac and cheese and fries he enjoyed his food as well. The Mac and cheese was the best he said. The customer service is amazing! With good food comes patience and the food is well worth the wait!!

Food was decent. Not being from that city we ordered several plates to take back home. Traveled to Lexington NC just to try JJ's Mama Soul food. Spent about $230 or so. If they cut back on using a ton of rosemary everything would be great! From what I could see it's brown skin owned and operated. Love that! Will definitely try it out again. And I will simply ask not to use rosemary if they can handle that.

This is a very comfortable spot. The lobby felt like home. I came for the ribs and they did not disappoint. Turns out the macaroni and cheese is the best in the world.
This is a wonderful place, I just love it! This is my 100% absolute favorite restaurant.

Food is everything. My favorite is the honey bourbon wings. Just make you want to suck your fingers off it's so good. Hospitality is 💯. They are very friendly. The place is clean and people friendly.

Wheelchair accessibility: 10/10 must recommend. I was otw to my friend party (with an hour drive left lol) decided to stop by w my fiancée. We originally heard about them on instagram yall the videos match the tasteeee trust me!
