me, my wife, and my grandson ate there today. staff was very friendly and attentively. I got the chopped barbecue plate with fries and beans. the fries was the best part of the meal, the pork was very juicy but had no flavor, and the beans was just your average ordinary baked bean. my wife got the sliced pork plate with slaw and fries. if that pork is smoked it did not have a smoke ring at all but it was more flavorful than the chopped pork. the grandson got chicken tenders and he said they were really good. there was no barbecue sauce to put on the barbecue. even though we were just passing through Lexington that would be the first and most likely the last time we'll eat there.

The best thing about this place is the service, other than that it’s pretty much downhill for me. Overall the food lacked flavor. The bbq was just smoked with no seasoning of any sort hence why it’s so bland. You can’t just dump bbq sauce on it afterwards and think that’s going to do it. The hush puppies lacked any sweetness to them. The fries had no salt at all. I’m convinced NC doesn’t know how to cook bbq because for this place to be considered one of the best, it’s truly a let down. This is by far the most atrocious bbq I’ve ever had

The Go-To place when we are in town. Great bbq. We get it to go, and live an hour away. The staff shared a tip. If you get fries (or maybe any other food like onion rings or hush puppies) put them in the air fryer for a few minutes when you get home. Delicious.

After years of living in the area, we finally made the trip to Lexington Barbeque over the Veterans Day weekend, and it was absolutely worth the drive from Raleigh. This place has set the bar so high that I doubt I’ll enjoy barbecue anywhere else as much! The texture and flavor of their barbecue is truly exceptional. The parking lot filled with cars was a clear sign that they’re doing something right.

We ordered the sliced barbecue, and it was a perfect 10/10. The slaw was mildly spicy and had a unique flavor you don’t find at most barbecue places. And the hushpuppies—wow! They were bite-sized, perfectly fried, crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside, hands-down the best our family has ever had. For dessert, we tried the peach cobbler, and it was so delicious we ended up ordering a second one!

Our meal was so good that we not only enjoyed it there but also took some home for the next day. Located in the heart of rural Lexington, this place is truly a hidden gem. They focus on doing classic barbecue, so don’t expect brisket or other styles; they specialize in hog, and they do it better than anyone else.

We also tried the fried chicken tenderloins (not barbecued), which were tasty too. If I’m ever traveling on I-85 again, I’ll definitely make a stop here.

Good pork, brown chopped was delicious but the stars of the show are the incredible hush puppies (add some hot sauce) and the beans are next level! Best beans I’ve enjoyed! Super friendly service

Everyone was so kind and inviting, and incredibly helpful showing what items are the most popular.
It was a quick dinner, it was delicious, flavorful, and we truly enjoyed the experience!
Wish we could get this door dashed back to Yardley PA!

Visiting from Georgia. I’m told this is supposed to be the best. But you don’t serve Brunswick Stew? The barbecue was simply okay and nothing I would write home about or take with me because everyone needs to try it back home. Maybe it’s because I was raised on Fincher’s Barbecue in Macon, Georgia, where we get real “skins” as well. The service was nice and the hush puppies are addictive. Photos from pigs in space. Real barbecue. In space. Y’all let me know if you make it.

It's a old bbq place but somehow it's pork lacks any smoke flavor. The slaw is good as are the hushpuppies.
