I came here on December 31, 2025 and ordered a Carmel iced coffee. Just as I was about finishing my drink I took a sip and felt something weird so I spit it out and there was a WORM and it was alive. I also found a hair in my food. This is disgusting and unacceptable, DO NOT go there, it is not sanitary at all.

This is one of the more disgusting locations located in Lexington, NC. Just about every single time we come here, we spend a good amount of money. We always end up having food left out of our bags, half of our food will be cold due to them waiting on other food to cook; and if we have to park and wait for the drive-thru, they will come out and walk the entire parking lot letting everyone's food get cold while they pass out multiple orders which casues our food to be icy by the time we get ours. The service is horrible, although there is some very nice respectful people working here once in a while. The resturant, inside and out, is almost always filthy, trashy, oily, flies flying around, and it seems as if some of the workers are in the same condition. The food is usually edible but you will have a large belly ache after. I would highly advise against eating at this location, the hwy 8 location is always much better!!

I have been here on multiple occasions and never had a good experience. I always dread coming here if I have to. The worst time here I was in the drive thru and had to wait in the parking lot 25 minutes for my food that I also had to go inside to get.

I was in a hurry and it seemed like they somehow knew that but my order was perfect instead of just slapped together with the mustard, ketchup, onions, and pickles all piled right in the center of the sandwich and everything was fresh

This location absolutely sucks. If you like waiting 30 minutes in the drive thru (after you ordered) only to not get all your food, then this is the place for you. Corporate should look into this place. Never again. I’ll drive out of the way to the Welcome location.

The night shift manager, Stephanie is the best!! She goes above and beyond to make sure my order is right every single time. Night shift in general is much more friendlier, laid back, and easy to talk to. Sometimes I feel like I'm visiting a friend when I go there in the evenings. And even though the staff is primarily teenagers, I feel like they are getting some much needed discipline and learning how to deal with the public. I, too, worked fast food as my 1st job and even though it was agonizing going to work as a teenager, I learned some very valuable life lessons. I can only hope the teenagers at McDonalds are doing the same thing. Not to mention the food and McCafes are much much better at this location compared to any other McDonalds I've been to in and out of the county!! And I've been to quite a few! I'm not sure if the McDonalds in surrounding areas have the same general and or district manager, but the other McDonalds sure could learn a thing or two from this location. For example, the lattes at the Welcome location are always mainly milk and very little espresso. Same with their mocha Frappés, they are more ice than anything which waters them down super quick. Not to mention the older night shift manager seems like she's always got an attitude. Highway 8 McDonalds' food is usually overcooked and their fries are cold. They do have a friendlier staff than Welcome though. Overall my experiences at this particular McDonalds (Winston Rd) have been pleasantly positive and I will continue doing business with them.

Well... Let me say this way: this McDonald's needs several improvements. I visit there with 7 people. The time to receive our food was longer than normal, but its ok. Them, we missed several items in our order. They did not gave us napkins, straws and any sauce. If we have not asked, we probably will never receive that. Also, missed almost an entire meal item. The desk wasn't clean and their kitchen was dirty, several things on the floor. To refill sweet tea, tools a lot of the normal, and the restaurant was pretty much empty. So, we were not happy with this restaurant. August 14, 2025 at dinner time.

I went through the drive thru they repeated my order back but still messed up my order on the ticket and I sit at the window for a few minutes while they pack the food in the bag and everything in my back is cold and I was handed the food by a manager
