Hands down the BEST BBQ and Ribs I have ever eaten! 10/10 recommend for the excellent food, but I give it a 15/10 for excellent service! Cant wait to eat here again in September!

I used to live in Lexington, North Carolina for about 17 years. And the first speedy Lori's barbecue in southmont is where I grew up eating barbecue and it serves just as well today over. 23 years later it tastes just the same and is the best quality. I finally got to bring my wife and she loves it. I've been talking about it for 15 years.

Go on Friday nights when they have their ribs. Only $17.98 for a full rack. Absolutely delicious. My wife liked the BBQ chicken. Baked beans and hush puppies are good.

Paid $14.00 for mediocre cheeseburger plate with no plate! Waitress placed my paper wrapped cheeseburger directly on the table in front of me. When I prompted her to bring my fries they were served in a red plastic basket on waxed paper as was my companion's meal. Very strange. My companion was older than me but I use a walker due to a back injury & I have white blonde hair. The staff seemed to think I was her mother being very solicitous to me. HaHaHa - puhleez! The fries were really good!

By far the best diners and dives BBQ place in Lexington North Carolina. Has the 3 C's restaurant reliability for diners and dives. Still one of the best restaurants over here near Southmont. Cost effective, definitely cleanliness, and awesome customer service. My wife and I have 50 years experience unfortunately in the barbecue business. In North Carolina from the mountains of Asheville all the way to the Outer Banks of Manteo NC.Which keeps us fluffy!! We come from a city that is loaded with BBQ establishments. The city is not Lexington it was Salisbury North Carolina. Although Lexington is known for the barbecue capital where we live now. Pit cook BBQ establishments used to be on every corner in Salisbury North Carolina. The most notable left in Salisbury is College BBQ on Statesville Boulevard. And you do have to mention Hendrix when you mention Barbecue in Salisbury. But for Lexington style BBQ there is no finer than Speedy Lohr's number 8. Your barbecue sandwich they give you enough for two people. And the barbecue plates will last you till the evening when you go home. Very tasty and they have a excellent dip. Try the spicy dip it has a little bit of heat. Also they have old fashioned crinkle cut french fries. Most people would order their barbecue plate with the traditional red slaw and crinkle-cut fries, or fried okra ,or even tator -tots, or wedges , they also have excellent potato salad , and good quality baked beans, have excellent white slaw and salad as well. Try there BBQ salads the small is plenty for one person. If you get the large be prepared to take it home with you they give you good portions here. They also have the local soft drink Cheerwine , and of course fresh brewed sweet tea that many people love to drink. People also come here for their other stuff which is home cooking. Also has good quality cheese burgers and hotdogs . I highly recommend they're homemade banana pudding , and their various cakes my favorite is the pig pickin cake . And about the best Hush Puppies you will find in this area . You will like the prices prices of this establishment. It can be a twice a week ritual. Nice to have a affordable great quality restaurant in the neighborhood. Come see what I mean they have the three C's of a quality diners and dives. I love the courteous waitresses. May you seek your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The world needs more belief in God. May God be with you and your family during this time of crisis. If we would all go back to the Holy Bible the world would be in less conflict.???????
