I ordered the lemon chicken with spinach and a creamy orzo. The chicken was pounded very thin therefore, it was overcooked. The orzo was cooked nicely but lacking flavor. And there was no spinach. Maybe one baby leaf on the chicken. I was disappointed because the description in the menu made it sound delicious. Maybe if they didn't pound their chicken so thin it won't get overcooked. Also, the lack of spinach which was in the menu description was disappointing as well. The orzo was good but lacked flavor.

I would share a photo but my 4 year old ate all of my cheeseburger before I could. 😂 It’s that good. We will absolutely be back. Our table ordered zoupa, a burger, a loaded baked potato with grilled chicken and a BLT. everything was fantastic. Might just be our new lunch spot?!?
The ladies that are in the restaurant are very nice. The gentleman however walked in the restaurant taking items behind the counter never spoke to us. Never said hello how are you all, Welcome, Have a good evening, Thank you for coming, NOTHING. We didn’t feel welcome at all so we just chose not to go back. In Davidson county born and raised we know one thing about restaurants around here. Not all of these places welcome African Americans. Truth be told this is still a racist area. So “we” have to be mindful of where we spend our money. I was always told never go where you don’t feel welcomed, And this was 1 of those places. The food was good but I didn’t feel like “we” are welcome.

This place has been here for a while, but today is my first time eating here. They have a simple menu and everything is locally sourced. I had the loaded baked potato with the grilled chicken and the bacon kale. It was delicious. They have a daily menu and two specials everyday(Friday has 3). Crab cakes is one of the Friday specials. I asked how they were prepared. It sounds absolutely amazing. I can't wait to try them. This place is a different kind of eating experience and is definitely worth a try.
Vegetarian options: Not the same Ole veggies that every other restaurant has. A good selection of choices.
Parking: Not a whole lot of parking spaces. Place shares a drive with a storage building.

What a wonderful hidden gem in Lexington, NC. I am surrounded by fast food and BBQ as the norm. A good friend of mine has been persistent about me trying The Humble Plate and I must agree with him, very satisfying. I ordered from the daily menu...Chinese chicken and asparagus. The chicken was wonderful in a light soy honey sauce with broccoli. The rice was flaky and the asparagus was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Usually when I have an Asian syle dish out, it is over sauced and high in sodium. This was not the case today. When I return I am going to try the quinoa salad with chicken and Brussel sprouts. Really nice place and people.

We just had a delightful lunch full of fresh local ingredients! Two delicious salads and a fried chicken Monday special with flavorful sauce with a touch of honey. We topped it off with buffalo milk gelato. That was a perfect ending to our meal. We highly recommend stopping is, right the interstate far superior to fast food when traveling.

This was a Door Dash order, the food was amazing both quality and temperature. Steaming hot chicken pie and the strawberry salad still chilled. Thank you for a great dinner after a long day! And to end it all the banana pudding… wow!
On a road trip and tired of fast food? This is the place to stop. Fresh prepared, absolutely delicious food and a cozy vibe. Handmade and wonderful.
