The food was delicious and service was great! Will definitely visit every time I am in town!
As always, excellent food and beverages. Our server was wonderful, and the GM was very attentive and friendly. Overall, another great experience at BJB!
The wine was suggested by our server tasted like vinegar, like it was from an open bottle for a few days and hardly had any flavor. There was only one vegetarian entree and I could have made plain potatoes at home. The soup appetizer very good, and the bread was delicious. I'm the dining room was empty, and we were sitting in a corner that had a larger table next to us that was empty, my husband is a big guy and would've appreciated a larger space since there were not any patrons sitting next to us. We did enjoy speaking to the manager about the town, and it was super clean and pleasant music. Overall it could have been better if our server took a little more time to help find a good wine and better vegetarian entree rather than the go to responses.
The carrot bisque soup was delicious. The burgers were very tasty. Enjoyed our evening. After dinner we went to the outside area & enjoyed the fire pit. Our waitress Frances was spectacular. The bistro is a great place to have an enjoyable dinner. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out. Nice gem in a small town.
As always, a wonderful experience from walking in the door until leaving. Everyone was pleasant, and the food was perfect. Looking forward to our next visit
Top notch service, delicious food wrapped in a beautiful ambiance. We had heard such good things and Blue Jay Bistro still exceeded our expectations. We will be back!
Amazing service (was greeted and checked on by at least five different staff members) and delicious, diverse food options. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, except for in the bathrooms, as shown in the attached video. If I had drank one more glass of reisling (which tastes great here, by the way), I don't know what I would have done in this situation.
My buddy has a house on the lake and a bunch of us came into town for a boys' weekend. We came here for dinner on a Saturday night in October. First off, we made the reservation very late after other plans fell through. They were VERY accommodating in getting us a table when things were winding down (8:30 was the reservation, and we were a few minutes late.)
The restaurant is actually pretty large, but because it was late, they were seating everyone near the bar/kitchen which makes sense. I'm sure they had already let some staff go because things were clearly quieting down, being off-season. Drinks came quick, and we ordered fast since we were all hungry.
Overall, the guys really liked the food. We all basically tried something different. One of the guys has a long list of allergies, and the staff had them write them down and the chef changed up what he ordered (it was duck) to make it work. He was super-happy with the result, which was excellent service. I had the short rib, which was perfectly cooked but had a bit too much bbq sauce, or something. Not my favorite, but another friend mowed his down, so maybe it's just me.
The service was very friendly and down to earth. It's a white tablecloth restaurant, but not pretentious. They serve beer from the brewery next door. That got mixed reviews, but its always nice to try different things. I would go back again, and probably will if we do this again sometime.

Delicious! From appetizers to dessert this place did not disappoint. I ordered the pork chops & they were nicely flavored w/ Brussels sprouts & potatoes. My sweet potato crème brûlée was a great size portion. I’ve eaten in the best restaurants from NY to Miami & this place is just yum!

Blue Jay is always our go to when we’re at the lake house! Food never disappoints, and drinks are amazing! Ziv and Skylar take such great care of everyone. Faves are the charcuterie board (hams and jams), the burger, and steaks!

A dining mecca in an otherwise barren food desert.Having a wonderful staff only makes it even better. Don't miss the calamari or the short rib; I'm kicking myself today for not finishing the last few bites.
We traveled almost 50 minutes to Blue Jay Bistro. We wanted to try it ourselves before bringing friends. It was well worth the drive. Excellent food and service. We'll be back with friends in tow!!
Great food, wonderful service, astonishing atmosphere.

Best dining experience of my life! 10/10 recommended
We have been to Blue Jay Bistro multiple times since its opening. We have always felt it was a treat for those we brought and for ourselves. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and vibe are fun and elegant. The decor is lovely and well done. I have written several great reviews for BJB on past visits however, this last time it was the menu that struck us most. Not sure what's changed but the menu items, which we've always enjoyed on previous visits as have our guests, were less than impressive. Almost everyone in our group ordered the burger that was the special of the night. The burger was good, but the other menu choices seemed basic and bland. Hoping the change of Seasons will bring back some of the imagination and deliciousness of the appetizers and entrees we've come to expect.
