My buddy and I went for a hike Medoc Mountain and were famished. We were looking up and down for a good place to eat and our search brought us to Grandpa’s kitchen. We were floored at how good the food was. The BBQ was some of NCs finest and I can honestly say the sweet potato pie was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Very good BBQ and excellent ribs! Real southern style green beans and potato salad. Slight wait for the food but would definitely eat there again and highly recommend!! The service was great as well, and the staff was very friendly!

Very good lunch. BBQ is their specialty, and they are known for making their own sauce, which can be bought by the bottle. Hubby had the chicken plate and loved it.
