My Wife and I own a Harley Tri-Glide and are always looking for new experiences for Food and Backroad Riding Fun for our 'Day Trips." We live in Goldsboro, N.C. and have ridden and eaten at restaurants from Central N.C. to the Coast of N.C. We decided back in 2023 that We would take a day trip up to Lake Gaston. I Googled several restaurants in the area and off We went for the 2-3 Hour backroad ride. Well, We ate at one restaurant, and approx. 2 months later we tried another. I later observed on Google about Lake Gaston Pizza, read some reviews and then looked up their Website Menu & to my surprise....the photo's of their food looked Great! Realizing that Photo's can be deceiving and can be somewhat "Colored Up and Enhanced" We decided that We would give it a try anyway....after all, Our saying is "It Can't be Bad But Once," plus We'd still get the backroad riding Day Trip experience. I Am Sooooo Glad We Did!!!! When We arrived at Lake Gaston Pizza and entered the restaurant, they were quite busy. I looked at my Wife and stated "I Love This.....They're Busy and that means They Apparently have a Great Business and Good Food." I'm Telling You Folks, I Couldn't have been More Correct!!!! We sat our selves and a short time later our Waitress/Server (Crystal) came to our table. She introduced herself and stated, "I'm Sorry for the Delay, but I was trying to get some of these folks checked out on the register." "Absolutely No Problem" was our reply understanding that when one person is multi-tasking it can become a challenging process...(and to be quite honest, it was way less than 5 minutes after we sat). She asked if We had eaten there before, to which We stated " in fact, We had ridden our Harley approx. 2 Hrs. or so to get there to eat." She took our appetizer and Meal Order. Your Drinks are "Self-Serve" which I Absolutely Love. You can get Soft Drinks, Water, Tea and then fix them to your liking and fill-up your glass when you need to...(Again...I'm a Big Fan of This).
Ok...enough of the details...Let's Get to the Food and then the Service! My Wife and I ordered the Mozzarella Sticks as Appetizers and the "Meat Lovers" Individual Pizza, (which we shared) a Stromboli, and a Calzone. The Food delivered to the table was identical to the photos on their website. I'll just go ahead and say it...."Everything We Ordered was Absolutely Delicious!!" During certain months of the year they also have Daily Specials that include Waaay More than just Italian as well...Be sure to look up their Specials. We would have ordered More, But We were completely "Stuffed" after eating just what We had ordered.
Our Server Crystal (who was Absolutely Wonderful and I Can't Compliment Enough) had apparently spoken with the Management/Owner/Co-Owners. 2 Gentleman walked over to our Table and introduced themselves. It just so happened to be Kerry and Pete (Management/Owners). They stated that Crystal had informed them that we had ridden our Bike from Goldsboro, N.C. to eat with them and wanted to Personally say "Thank You."
Where else can you experience that kind of "Welcome and Customer Service?" Kerry then stated that they have a tradition of a "First Time Friendship Bell" that they asked us ring and the entire restaurant "Greets & Welcomes You." Crystal, Kerry and Pete spent several minutes talking to us (some of it was because I simply wouldn't Shut-Up talking and as you can tell from this Long Review...I Love to Talk...LOL). They All made us feel so Welcomed and "Right at Home!!" Ya'll are AWESOME!!!
All-in-All.....I'd give Lake Gaston Pizza 100 Stars if it were an option. Yes....The Food, Service, and Atmosphere is second to NONE and we Will definitely be returning several times a year for Great Food and a Great Backroad Harley Riding Experience!!<

Super Supreme pizza was excellent. Thin, crispy crust, and lots of toppings. Ordered online; it was ready to pick up when I arrived after a 10-minute drive. 4 stars for the atmosphere because it seemed a little dark for midafternoon. Staff was friendly with great customer service. Once back home, I refrigerated the pizza for the evening meal. It reheated perfectly! So-o-o-o very yummy!

Parking: There is plenty of parking in the entire lot shared by multiple businesses. During busy times, one might have to walk a short distance to the storefront.

Kid-friendliness: Typical pizza place.

Wheelchair accessibility: Limited handicapped parking. Wheelchair accessible ramps to sidewalk.

Good food. Good pizza with plenty of toppings. Eveyone loved the cheesy bread sticks. Great experience with the people working there. I have to ding them one star for service because they forgot our cheesy bread sticks, but fixed it right away and helped us carry the large order out. If you're in The Lake Gaston area. Give them a try. You want be disappointed.

They have the best supreme pizza, friend likes their chicken wings & salad. Cooked the way she likes them. Very friendly and attentive staff. A regular place for us

We ordered for the first time and the pizza was outstanding. We ordered the 16” Da' Mean Margherita and it was full of flavor and topped with fresh ingredients.

Best of all, we had left overs and it tested even better cold for breakfast :)

We will order again before we leave the lake. The restaurant was very busy but adequately staffed and they are organized as well as friendly.

Fantastic food and great service. There was a mixup with my personal pizza and someone (I think one of the owners) came out, apologized and explained that he had made me the wrong one but my pizza would be out in 2 minutes. You don't get that kind of customer service much anymore. Got the Super Supreme and it was the best pizza I've had in a long time. The Habenero wings were fantastic as well. My girlfriend really enjoyed her meatball sub. Just an overall great experience. Definitely will be back.

Cute place.. we go a few times a year when we’re in Gaston. I will say the AI that answers the phone is very annoying and they do not answer if you choose not to do the AI option. The food is definitely pricey. $12 for a Greek salad that has no meat is on the high end. A meat lovers pizza (large) and a Greek salad was $45 with a 5% tip. We ordered to go but I still always tip as they’re working hard. For the quality the food is overpriced but you really don’t have many options on this side of town average food. Staff is nice though. Minus they had no napkins or silverware when we asked.. that’s definitely not acceptable for to go food. If we order a salad I’d expect a silverware pack and a napkin…
