Went to eat here with some friends it was our first time. It took forever to get our food at least 30 minutes. We had to sit and watch our friends eat while we waited for our order so by the time ours came out our friends were done eating and had to sit and wait for us to eat. The fries tasted kinda old and stale, the fish was mushy and the chicken was a little slimey. The hush puppies were the best part of the meal. You have to pay 3 dollars extra for drink. It most certainly was NOT worth the $50 for 3 people that we paid for, it's like a knock off long John's silver and doesn't even taste as good. Be better off going to Calabash NC and getting the real deal and it cost less

On Wednesday November 27th round about 2:45 to 3:20 I sit in the Drive-Thru at this Captain D's for 40 minutes and when I inquired why we had to wait 40 minutes to get our food the reply was we make everything fresh this is totally unacceptable I feel like they was maybe one or two people working in there and that was it you know I don't know what was going on but that was just bad bad you need you're going to run a business that you need to have people in there to run it if you have to go in there and help yourself whoever's reading this you know paid good money that I you know I'm glad I want working somewhere and sat there my whole lunch break waiting on that food y'all need to get your child's act together it's just pathetic.

This location is awesome! Pretty quick with piping hot fresh food. Captain Ds is my.go to seafood near lumberton. The hush puppies are huge. The Catfish is perfect. Fries are great and so is the fried okra. The jalapeños poppers are good but real spicy.

My wife and I stopped tonight for dinner.When we entered we were greeted with a friendly smile from manager and made to feel right at home.As we ordered the cooks spoke and where real friendly also.I ordered the lobster roll and though they where out of lettuce I asked for slaw yes slaw on my roll was delicious. My wife got a fish and shrimp and she loved it.So thanks to the Big Captain D.Keep up the good work.I say to anyone who wants a good hot meal check out the Captain and the deck mates you want regret it.

Their fish is good. The place had a stench that was strong. But I was impressed with my hot meal. The workers were friendly and helpful.
Absolutely love this place. I leave full and I don't spend a lot of money and the food is really good. Never had a bad experience. And they have a really great lunch deal between 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Thank YOU!!! I have been traveling a lot and stopped to grab a hotel bc I was super tired and hungry. I ordered online, it was ALL so fresh!HOT, my Baked pot was baked to perfection, my entire order was correct down to the sauces and reaallly really, could not have been anymore perfect. I arrived, drove to drive-thru, was cheerfully welcomed and asked if she could help in anyway let her know, I said I did onine.The young lady was so kind, professional and sincere. After her second cheerful greeting upon arriving at the window, she handed me a VERY BIG BAG. I could already tell A LOT of care had been taken to place it together for right when I arrived. She also had commented how she placed the few sauces I had requested in their as well. Not to worry. LOL I was even more impressed when I arrived at the hotel soo ready to eat and sleep. One of my HUGE things, is when "to go" is all thrown together, however My one thing is cold items with cold, hot with hot. it was just the most wonderful experience I have had anywhere in a long time. I also know they hand bread the catfish in the BOH, plus make their sides. I was so excited to see they have changed from the other sauces they were using before. There is nothing like homemade ranch, tarter sauce, etc. your recipes are spot on. I send an amazing sincere THANK YOU to all the CAPTAINS Ds staff. Keep rocking it yall!!

I was hungry and haven't eaten at Long John Silver's in years so when I saw Captain D's, I was excited b/c of the similarities in the two restaurants so I have it a whirl. It wasn't LASSI it just didn't hit the spot with me.
