Our host Jill was sweet, attentive, friendly, and professional. From the moment we arrived, she greeted us with a smile and ensured our table was EXTRA clean! Checked on us several times, and overall I was incredibly impressed with her above and beyond service. Food was also very good and fairly priced - dining room was spotless. Definitely worth a stop for a quick bite while traveling.

Ordered ahead and showed up prior to it being ready, announced myself as a pick up and sat nearby. The order came out after the time it was said to be ready then it was sat behind the hostess desk and and sat there for five minutes till someone decided to give it to me when they checked out someone else. Now I'm eating cold toast and eggs for breakfast 😡

Very relaxing atmosphere. Presentation of food and seasoning was on point. I ordered grits with my berry crepes with eggs, bacon and sausage.They were very smooth and creamy, only needed to add a little salt. Our server was very attentive and kept us squared away. She took our order shortly after we were seated and our food for a party of four was out shortly after. Tatyana was our server. We have visited this Denny’s several times in the past and I have never been disappointed.

It took a little longer than usual to be seated, but the experience an food was so great. Food was hot and fresh! And yhe customer service from DALLAS was amazing!!! I recommend their home fries, delish!

Absolutely Unacceptable Discrimination – Will Be Escalated
If I could give zero stars, I would. My mother, my aunt, visited Denny’s at 101 Wintergreen Dr, Lumberton, NC, on March 9, 2025, expecting a simple meal. Instead, we were ignored and denied service while white customers who arrived after us were immediately seated and served with no issue.
The waitress, Dallas, openly picked and chose who she wanted to serve, while manager Priscilla stood by and did nothing, despite witnessing the entire situation. It was so blatant that even some of the white customers apologized to us, acknowledging how wrong it was.
What makes this even worse is that this Denny’s was sued in 1994 for racial discrimination against African American families and had to pay out $54 million—yet here we are, decades later, experiencing the same disgusting treatment. Clearly, this company has learned nothing.
This type of racism and discrimination is unacceptable, and we will be escalating this matter to multiple entities for further investigation. Denny’s must be held accountable. Avoid this location at all costs.

We ordered the food online through the app and when we got it it wasn’t even warm at all. I’ve never tried Dennys before if I’m being honest but I’m sure it’s not supposed to taste very unseasoned and like hospital food. I’ve had more seasoned food at a hospital. There was no flavor, the sides were barely anything, and my fiancés bun was extremely soggy on his burger that was also colored odd.

Let me start by saying, I understand you're short staffed. We were told upon being seated there were two servers and one cook. This was at 10:20am on a Saturday. The table behind us was seated literally one minute before us and their complete order was taken at 10:30. Five minutes later, the same server came and took our drink order only (we were ready to give our complete order, but she didn't take it). At 10:50 our drinks arrived. 11:00 the server came back to give us straws and take or food order. (Why was our food order not taken at the same time as our drink order?) The table behind us at that point had received their food and the dining area was mostly empty now. At 11:25 our server arrived with a food order. It was not ours. 11:40, the server came back with two plates of pancakes and said that the rest of our food is coming but wanted to get us started on the pancakes. They were not what we ordered. We noticed after we had been seated that more than 4 tables ordered and received their food before ours was either ordered or attempted to be brought out.
Very disappointed to say the least. We had hoped to make the restaurant a normal part of our dining out routine. Now, we don't think we will ever bother to go back.

My sister and I stopped to grab a bite to eat. We waited for several minutes to be seated. The manager and staff never acknowledged us standing there. A Caucasian couple walk in and the staff promptly greets them and sits them at a table for service. Unacceptable! The Caucasian woman looks at me and says, I am so sorry. 1994 Dennys had to pay 54 million for discrimination. You would think they would have learned their lesson, I guess not.# Escalated!

This location served me the best hashbrowns I've ever had. They were delicious and cooked perfectly. The steak was juicy and seasoned just right. It was not dry at all. The eggs were runny basically the meal was the best I've had since I've been in North Carolina. The service was ok but I had to wait over 5 minutes after she brought my meal to get my toast and a refill despite her telling me she was coming right back with it even going so far as to take the order of the table behind us while I was waiting. I didn't appreciate that but the food was excellent and the manager was a very nice lady. I will return for the food in the future.

Waitress was new and mixed up the way we asked for things...eggs were over hard. We asked for one slam over hard, but the other was supposed to be over easy. Other small things were not right, but not worth making a fuss.
