This restaurant is a true hidden gem. Not only is the service amazing and genuinely unique, but the food oh my God the food is outstanding. We had a BBQ plate and a chicken dish, and both were absolutely incredible. The meat was flavorful and perfectly cooked, the fries were done just right, and you could really taste how fresh everything was.
The cherry on top was the pound cake, so fresh and fluffy it practically melted in your mouth. We honestly expected to pay an arm and a leg for food this good, but it was surprisingly affordable. If you ever have the time or find yourself nearby, go. I promise you won’t regret it for a second.

I can't give you a review on the food because I never got any? So I'll start from the beginning. Google sent me here, I looked up good BBQ local. This place has amazing reviews so I pulled in, this was Saturday. When I walked up there was a lady smoking on the front porch, she told me she'd be right in to get my order and to have a seat. I said okay and found a table. I waited and waited and waited. At least 10 minutes. Then she finally came in, asked if I knew what I wanted and I told her no, it's my first time and I'd like a menu. She kind of got this snarky attitude after that. She got me a glass of water, and the menu, and then she disappeared again. Mind you at this point the place is empty, I'm the only customer. I could hear her talking through this little window, I'm assuming it was the kitchen? Anyways, she didn't come back out for a good bit of time. It was ridiculous, I got up and left. Didn't get any food, water was great. Waitress was absent, smelled VERY strongly of cigarettes and ignored me basically the whole time.
I feel like they'd probably do better business if they had a staff that cared.

Tucked away on Wire Grass Rd in Lumberton, Roy’s Country Corral is southern comfort done right! 🐖✨ Once an old tobacco barn, now it’s home to BBQ, fried catfish, hush puppies, and sweet tea that tastes like home. Rustic charm, friendly faces, and good eatin’ — just the way it should be! 🤠🍴

Who needs Cracker Barrel??
Better food (they raise their own pigs for BBQ), friendlier service, cheaper prices, bigger portions, and more interesting decor!
Some of the best catfish I've ever had.

The food was great! Service was amazing and so sweet I wish I would have asked her name. Traveling with toddlers can make it hard to stop sometimes but she welcomed the kids and truly so nice. We will be back!

Unique little restaurant just off Rt 74. I had the Catfish and it was wonderful, hushpuppies and coleslaw are excellent too! Husband had the burger and it was just OK. Busy with locals . Next time, I’ll try the BBQ. Try it !

What a treat. Total time travel. Paper plates. Make sure to focus your gaze and on all the kitsch - very sentimental, loving and country creative. Drove 2 hours to visit. No nonsense. It’s kinda like a Sunday dinner from 50 years ago. Very grateful for this experience. I almost forgot - haven’t had a more affordable meal in years. Unreal. Go show and feel some love @ Roy’s.
